The Ouija Board:
A Game, or a gamble?
If you think a Ouija board is a harmless game, think again. This iron is in a fire that will burn you.

Re: Are Ouija Boards a Gateway of Evil?
I have seen to many lives been screwed up by people using them, thinking that they know what there doing. There are some things in life that you should not mess about with, 1 is nature, mess about with her & she will kick your arse. The other is a ouija board - Mess about with that & who knows what will come & kick your arse.
I am currently researching these so called communication boards or what ever you want to call them. I want to know legally how you stand with them, because in the 70's they were banned from sale in the shops. Whats the current status on them? eg. is it legal to sell them still?
I know that some people say fear of something is little more than the unknown. ( not knowing much about it) That may well be true & as i have said I would like to know more about them, how they work? Do they aork? can they realy be controlled or is a ouija board like mother nature, something that you should not mess with because you carnt really control it?
Allot of questions there. Here's one more, should people realy mess around with something that no one realy knows anything about.

Re: Are Ouija Boards a Gateway of Evil?
As far as i am aware the Ouija board has been used for many centuries, during and after WWI it became popular with those looking to contact their deceased loved ones and in the late 1960's they were sold as a children's game, but banned from sale due to the fact it was scaring the crap out of everyone.
I found this during some research "In Isaiah 8:19-20, God says this: "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? …If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light…" God points out that we need to come to Him for answers. Because God is omniscient and omnipresent He knows everything and He is in control of everything. Asking charlatans and unknown entities for advice can be worse than fruitless; it can be dangerous
The law according to The Old Testament is that if anyone were a medium then the Israelites were to stone then to death.
In today's law i can't find anything about the legality of the sale or usage of them so who knows!

Re: Are Ouija Boards a Gateway of Evil?
This is an interesting debate... I've only seen them used on the TV, I have never used one or been on an investigation where a ouija board was used. I have seen glass divination and have been part of a group that tried this (with a medium present). I have seen people try to communiate by asking the glass to go clockwise or anti clockwise for yes and no... or for a table to be moved around the room...
my question is about the intention of the users... If you think of each object, a board with letters on it, a glass or a table I wouldn't have throught that they had any specific significance or 'powers'. When a group uses these tools for a specific purpose they are trying to make contact with spirits, I would have thought that when they are used in this way it the intention to communicate that is the issue... If a ouija board is purchased and stays in its box unused is it dangerous then?

Re: Are Ouija Boards a Gateway of Evil?
It shouldn't be dangerous if not used.
When people ask us the difference between using an ouija board and glass divination we tell them that using a glass isn't dangerous because your calling upon the spirits which are already present in the room to move the glass where as an ouija board opens a floodgate of spirits.

Re: Are Ouija Boards a Gateway of Evil?
Still ruddy dangerous never the less, they are called numerous things but still are the same thing.
just an excuse so they can drag in vulnerable people & fool them into using one.
Very dangerous.
