Big cats and local beasts!
When i was about 14 i was an active member of my village's youth club, in the premesis we had some very large boulders which the owner of the cottage next door wanted for his garden.
We all got together and took the boulders round to the gentlemans house and at one point he described something unusual he saw in his garden... a black panther!
Now all of us had heard the story of the Black Panther that roams the Derbyshire Village of Blackfordby but we had never met anyone who saw it so we instantly dismissed his claims, but this man had evidence!
He went back into his house and returned with a white stone, when we saw it he said it was a plaster cast of the beast's paw print in the ground he made the day after his sighting. This paw print was huge! far bigger then any Dog or other domestic pet, so what was it?
Do you believe in Big cats and Local beasts that allegedly roam free in our countryside?

Re: Big cats and local beasts!
It just so happens i have also seen what i think was a big cat..
Around the time, a few sightings had been recorded in Derbyshire, including one near to myself by the old Cadley hill site, across the road, a few days later i was up in the early hours when i glanced something go past my window, too big to be a normal cat, definatley feline, not a fox( as id seen these many times & they are more curious), i continued to watch outside, when i saw it opposite my home against the fences, stealthly moving, then was gone... My neighbour also was a little unsure of a sighting on the same night, she described the same - not fox - big cat!!! We made sure all local children were advised not to go into the fields & i must admit, im a little nervous still myself... But no sightings recently...
