The Reaping (2006)
Premiere. A paranormal investigator researches unexplained phenomena with the intention of debunking them. Her latest case is a small town overwhelmed by a series of plagues of biblical proportions, including locust swarms and the river running red as blood. The investigator is convinced there is a rational explanation, but comes to realise she faces a genuine supernatural threat. Thriller, starring Hilary Swank and David Morrissey.
Tonight on Channel 5
10:00pm until 12:05am
I might miss this one as it's a little past my bed time, but if anyone else watches it why not let us know what you thought of it?

Hi Richard , thanks for that I would have mist it. Very good film it was about the old testament from the Bible, good V Evil ,red river, fish falling from the sky, Locusts, so on...
8 out of 10..

in the end I decided that I would just watch the first 30 minuites or so and then go to bed.... I was however captivated by then and ended up watching the whole thing! Was well worth it though, one of the least predictable films I have ever seen!
Religion features very strongly in the film as you said Steve, the lead charachter has a logical explanation for the seven plagues which affected ancient Egypt however the similar plagues in this case were not so easy for her to explain.... the story gradually evolves with more and more clues as to what is really happening reveal themselves in explosive fashion, all leading to a dramatic climax which I won't spoil for you incase you decide to watch it!
