We say "LIVE" because some time on privet events we have a phone link, to the guest's
Hi S.P.I One of your events is Newton Park Hotel
live with Phil Whyman they say how it is very haunted , that a girl has been seen several times in room 120 and ghostly shadows in the basments ,
people screaming and being touched and a ghost of a little boy has been seen in the basment by 15 people at the same time in a vigil a mist has been filmed of a lady coming down the stairs in a Taffiter dress and a piano playing and there is no piano in the building all herd by 20 people on a vigil. Would you say this is one of the most haunted places you have been to ?

I was talking to a friend at work yesterday. I don’t know if this is true or not but, an ex-girl friend of his used to work at Newton Park about 15yrs ago.
He says the manager of the hotel at that time had his office in one of the underground rooms but had to move the office as the atmosphere was very strange.
Also there was a report of a floor collapsing down onto someone killing them.
I do not now if this is true but though you may be interested.

Hi all - went to Newton Park last night - had a great night - team are all very nice and venue was fantastic. Richard Felix interesting, quirky and funny - definitely a good guest!
Would recommend going on any future events - we will be!!

Hello Sapphire and welcome to the board.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the night out, because activity or no activity it is fun what counts the most.
Might i also add that it was great to see forum members such as Griff, 0706, Draco and other familiar faces at the event too and i hope we will see you again at future events.
Did any of you guys get any good footage or pics?

Hi all
Had a great evening, nice to meet you all again.
Thought Richard Felix was very good. The location was excelent. I have had a quick look at the video i shot, there are a few posible light anomalies. Ill prepair them and post them soon.
Did anybody else capture anything ?

Newton Park Hotel Paranormal Investigation
Friday 10th November 2006 Report by Sharon
The investigation started with an introduction to Swadlincote Paranormal – including who the team are and what they do. We were then shown a walk round of Newton Park that included a brief overview of the alleged hauntings. The guest Richard Felix gave an interesting and quirky talk about his beliefs and experiences of the paranormal.
We were then split into groups – our group was Group 2 and consisted of Darren, Jackie, Mark, Sharon and Tony.
The Boardroom
This investigation was led by Vince.
During the vigil we tried glass divination with our fingers turned upwards to minimise the likelihood of us moving the glass. Despite calling out we gained no response from the glass. We did not experience any significant events during this vigil.
The reported experiences in this area consist of the door handle rattling on the corridor side – but when the door is opened the corridor is empty. There has also been a woman seen from the outside standing at the window.
The Attic
Vigil led by Steve
A number of the group saw shadows moving in this area – mainly across the wall in front of the door – however also towards the back of the room. It was thought this shadow was likely a male. Darren reported seeing Steve’s face ‘change’ into a different male figure. Steve reported feeling a presence around him numerous times – Steve was sitting in the area near where the group saw most of the movement. At one point Jackie thought Steve had moved his arm in the air – however it seems he had not moved at all!
Jackie reported a sudden coldness followed by a feeling she had been touched on the leg – there was no one sitting near he at this point. Mark and several others heard various noises coming from the area next to him. Unfortunately we ran out of time during this vigil just as it seemed more things were occurring.
It is alleged the remains of a baby where found concealed in a room off of the attic – however this is also the case in the outside cellar.
Outside Cellar
Led by Anita
The only experience in this area was that Mark appeared to be much hotter in temperature than anyone else – this was noted by use of a thermometer.
Inside Basement
Led by Simon
During this vigil various noises were heard by the group – some of them not as easily explainable as others. During the vigil a number of noises were heard from the tunnel coming off of the room we were in. Tony and Sharon became very cold – but in looking for a cause of this there were no apparent drafts that we could find.
The most impressive experience in this area was witnessed by the whole group. A light started in one area of the cellar and moved quickly behind several of the group. It ended in an area next to us in which Darren had previously reported seeing shadows of a figure. At the end point the light appeared a bit like a streak of lightening but not so jagged. We all tried to recreate the light with our torches but were unable to make anything even close to what we had seen!!!
In this area we were told there are meant to be 2 spirits, and older male and a young male aged 19 who focuses around the tunnel.
Bedroom 171
Led by Diane
No experiences reported in this room. It is alleged a lady dressed as a maid is meant to knock on the door during the night. When the door is opened she is standing with towels in her hands – she then disappears.
Bedroom 120
Led by Diane.
Again no experiences reported in this room. The alleged haunting is that of a lady who hung herself at the bottom of the bed from a beam in the ceiling. Guests are woken by a lady crying and visions of her are seen sitting at the bottom of the bed.
