New date Gresley old Hall. Original Curator of the Ghost walk.
Gresley old hall has been the subject of ghost stories for centuries. As we go back to the 700 years old building.
As we are the original Curator of the Gresley old Hall Ghost walks, and did the first public event there.
And here are some of the guests how have come along- like Phil Whyman, Mark Webb, Judith Cooney and Richard Felix, to SPI events.

Hi Joanne, We have got qualified rick assesors on the team and are concerned about the building's current state.
The bulding is very old and we do not feel it is presently safe enough to accomadate large groups of more then 30 people for events.
we have a tour guide policy, risk assessment, we would like that all are guest are safe at all times.

I am also qualified to carry out fire risk assesments now too. I think the main risks in the building are not fire but the staircases. Due to the walls of the building moving with subsidance the staircases have literaly come away from the walls.
There are temporary solutions for these problems however a fresh new risk assessment will be carried out closer to the date of the event to make sure it is safe enough to enter.

Thanks for your reply.It will be a shame if they just leave it to get worse, it is such a fascinating place.
It will be good to get back into that attic room to see if anything happens.

I hope that we are able to run this event, though it will heavilly depend on weather or not measures have been put in place to make it structrally safe for people to go upstairs. Last time we went up there our risk assessment crew found so many defects in the building, we thought we were not going to be able to run the event. It took as whole day to prep it to make it safe for others to go up stairs. It seems as though there are changes to the buildings structure everytime we go up there. I know that people say that they hope when Gresley Hall make the renovations to the building that they leave the upstairs alone. I hope that they do, do something about the upstairs as I fear that if they dont, sooner or later there will be a a serious accident & not all the groups that go there have public Liability protection that we do.

Watch this space for when the tickets become available, probably early in the new year.
This event will be much different from the ones that people have experienced when they have been with us in the past up the hall. No ittinerary have been finalised at this point in time, but soon as we get something set in stone, be sure the information will be posted on the forum first.
Next year we will be hoping for a new look presentation with allot more exciting things for people to see & do.
This building has been around for hundreds of years & only recently has just some of its past been uncovered. There is a certain amount of information that has been unoverd over the years regarding the history of this unique location, but what we are intersted in is the untold history, the history that has been kept under wraps for so many years. Its deepest darkest secrets are sure to be uncoverd soon. It is only a matter of time till we unveil its secrets & then maybe we will be able to put the tormented soals to rest that have haunted this location for so many years.

As some of you have probably guessed by now the inevitable has happened and we have decided not to go ahead with this event.
During our last meeting it was agreed that the derelict areas of the building are no longer fit for groups to go into.
We hope that this is not the end of investigations there however we feel that it would be irresponsible for anyone to allow a group of people into the upstairs area of the building as used in investigations.
