Hi. I just wondered whether anyone as experienced their batteries being drained in their cameras when they went to grace dieu prioy?

Having been there many times, camera and video batteries have drained many times also i once spent 2 hours videoing only to find i had recorded 2hrs of white noise !!

Hi. Yeah that happend to me. I managed to take a few photos before the battery drained and when i got home they had disappeared my camera said i had no photos! very strange.

Last time I went I used the set of 2100nimh batteries that I had in and had taken around 15 shots with, took almost 60 reference pictures, and still had enough juice left to shoot 40 more at another location the day after. That camera used to eat batteries, so those figures are about typical if the flash is used for, say, one out of every three shots.

In my opinion what most of you are describing is spirit at work just as you sit a circle or do any kind of psychic work spirit will use our energy to make themselves known leaving you feeling very tired afterwards its just the same with youre electrical equipment they will drain energy and use it themselves leaving you with dead batteries.

Good point Medicine. I remember when Simon was trying to take a photo and ended up going through 4 packs of brand new batteries to take 1 picture!

Grace Dieu Priory is positioned on a natural geological fault line these fault lines sometimes emit unusual electromagnetic energy that interfere with the normal cycles of the atmosphere, sometimes generating phenomena referred to as 'earth lights'.
Is it possible that this phenomenon is also causing the batteries to fail?

As far as I was aware, the geological 'earth lights' theories haven't yet been verified or even wholly agreed upon by anybody - there are at least four non-paranormal hypothesis on the table and each one could only account for a percentage of sightings.
I have seen a few paranormal sites reference Grace Dieu in the past and state this as almost a matter of fact, but I have no idea where they got their information from
