My First experience
It was when I was a child, living at my old house in Church Lane, Barton under Needwood.
I allways had a fear of the loft, I supose that many children had similar fears when they were kids, but this loft allways sent shivers down my spine every time I went up the stairs.
I allways told my parents that I could hear things insode the loft scurrying about. One day it got so bad that they went to investigate & told me that they think that a bird had got into the loft & got stuck & that's what I had heard. This did make me feel better until one night, I went up the stairs B& went into my bedroom & when I walked out, I found the loft lid had opened & I hadn't heard a thing. This scared the hell out of me. If it was a bird, it must of been a super bird or one about 3 foot tall in orer to move this loft lid, which was quite heavy. This played on my mind for years & my parents put it down to a draught blowing up the stairs & when the from door was opened & caused it to lift the lid. Again this was a satisfactory answer for me until one day, when my mum was in bed & I was the only other person in the house & all the doors & windows were shut. I was going up the stairs to go to the toilet, & as usual I watched the loft lid cautiously. As I reached about halfway up the stairs, the lid made a funny noise & started to shake, then slowly it started to rise, hovered briefly, slid over to one side & slowly lowered again. this scared the **** out of me & I hated it ever since. My parents kept trying to convince me that it was nothing, but I was allways sure there was something in there that was watching over us all the time. Even now as a paranormal Investigator, I would be nervious of going back to that house & venturing into the loft.
There is one story I would like to tell you that will bring a smile to you faces & it involved the loft again.
I was at home late one night, with a friend from school as he had come round for the evening to keep me company, whilst my parents had gone to the pub for a drink & my brother, being 7 years older than me had gone round to his mates. Both my friend & I had heard a noise come from upstairs & heard a window open. We causiously ventured up stairs to invetigate. Sure enough there was a window that had been opened. We went into the bedroom & shut it again, upon reaching the landing, I noticed that the loft lid had opened slightly, thinking that this was othing more than just the wind from the window that had opened, we went into the bathroom to check that window too. when we got back onto the landing, I looked up & noticed that the loft had opened fully. this scared me & my mate & I thought that it was my brother trying to wind us up, so I called out to him & told him to stop being so silly. Needless to say there was no asnwer. we slithered down the stairs & went into the hallby the front door. It was then that I thought that the only was to find out & set a little revenge was to..... Turn off the electricity mains. Sure enough this concluded our presumptions, as all the lights in the house went out & the house plumeted into darkness. All you could hear was a big bang, thud & a lot of bmping about & screaming, coming from my brother who had ventured into the loft to scare us & as he came running out of the front door & chasing us down the street, he was screaming, you B******ds I will kill you whenI get hold of you.
He didn't & he got told off for trying to scare us. I dont know who was scared more of the loft from that day, me or him.....

That loft sounds like one freaky place I think id be very sceptical of going any where near it 
All that seems to happen round me is that someone or it feels as though someone is sittin on my bed normally wen Im sad or in a mood about something. I saw a medium at james street that told me that it was my brothers friend who passed away I got to admit the first few times it was really scary but now its not a worry . Though the other day I was in the house lil un in his cot no 1 else around and I could have sworn I heard someone come up the tairs but no one was there wen I looked
that was wierd but not scary is the loft the only thing u expierianced or the scariest?? Im nosey I know lol

hope that you are ok, this is my experience.I put is story on the site a year ago..
There's a Ghost in my house.
Its been 5 years since we moved in to my house at Swadlincote. We have come to an understanding with a ghost which seems to be bound to the house.
The lady who lived here had to move out, as she had problems with her legs and one had to be amputated. She move out of her home to live with her sister in Liverpool, so the house had to be sold. The house was then sitting empty for a year. That's when I come into the story. The lady, I will call her "Mrs J" was still hanging in there, in liverpool for two months after I moved in. Then two weeks before Christmas, she past away. That's when it all starts. Little things at first like door handles moving up and down, as if she is out side the door trying to come in the room.
We later found out, all the doors where taken off, so she could move around the house in her wheelchair a little better.
Other things like the smell of cigarette smoke in the hall way, foot steps moving around up stairs, doors shacking and banging. My cats senses things in the rooms then runs off. All my three daughters have seen sightings of "Mrs J" moving across the room. One of my girls hair has being played with as if it was being platted, hot and cold spots all over the house. In the small room at the back of the house there are flashes of light and orbs moving from the ceiling to the floor. None of my daughters will now sleep the night in there. Smoke alarms going of at the same time all over the house & the best one for me was when I have seen her at the door, as an outline of gray lady for about 20 seconds.
Diane King had came to visit me at my house one day. With all these things going on in my home, it now seems to be a part of life living here, and we don't talk about it.
But Diane picked up on my ghost. One thing I have learnt, is not to have a medium for tea, lol. she was coming out with thing's about 'Mrs Js" lifethat we have researched. she had three boy friends living here over the years, two cats & a dog. We believe she is trying to tell us, she would like her house back and the money we found under the carpet, we believe she had put asside for a holiday as it was in an envelope marked up as "holiday money". Only me and my wife knew this at the time, when we gutted the house!!
I think she like's it here, with me & my family. It appears she had a son called Stephen which is also coincidentally my name, and a daughter called kimberley which is also my daughters name. Mrs J, was big into Mediumship, as she went to many circles, in Swadlincote. I think we have a good understanding as we have living together in this house now for many years. She seems boud to the house, not wanting to leave her home & we are bound to the bank's 20 year mortgage.

Wow thats rly interesting to read I hope she keeps you all safe sounds like a kind lady Just oput of total nosiness hw do ur children feel about it ? i cant imagine bein a young kid and feelin things like having my hair played with

Hi free spirit7,
It's been not that bad over the last year, with most people with spirits in there homes, its apart off life you live with it. One of my girl has moved out, and as a home of her own and her own babygirl, and she saying that her daughter has been looking in the corner of the room and giggling at something?.
My other daughters as sign of being a sensitive, but she has know interest in the Paranormal!! sham she quiet good.…

wow sounds like u have a reallly interestin place there :0 Lil un giggling thatscute dont they say children pick things up more easily that grown ups??
It sounds like the girls all have a gift for pickin things up

My first experience of seeing a "ghost"was when I was about 9-10 yrs old,
We had just moved into a very old house that was due to be demolished ,I remember it wasn,t a very nice house,old and smelly,the first night as I went up to bed I saw an old man dressed in white with a beard sitting half way up the stairs,
He didn,t scare me he just smiled at me ,I went to fetch my mother and told her but when we got back he was gone,I never saw him again, but to this day have never forgotten him, he looked so peacefull and loving ..Bx
