Gresley Old Hall
I would like to clarify the situation regarding Swadlincote Paranormal & Gresley Old Hall. We have not given up on the hall, due to being pushed out by other groups.
We have decided to take break from conducting events at the hall for a few months. One of the reasons behind this as we firmly believe in respecting the spirits & the location they reside in. We feel that it is totally unprofessional & very disrespectfull to the spirits. Spirits do not like to be poked & prodded all the time.
Our main objective is to help put spirits to rest & let the living let them. We deffinately do not drag them up to be put on show, we feel as they will come forward if they want to. Anyone who has attended any of our events will also know that we don't validate the use of instruments to forcably drag spirits from their resting. When we conducted an investigation at the hall, our objective was to show people what it is like to conducta professional investigation & under a proper controlled enviroment. This one of the reasons, we do not cunduct regular events at the same location & are allways on the lookout for new locations.
One of the other reasons was to allow the hall time to install appropriate safeguards allowing people to go upstairs. We will be returning to the old hall sometime soon. Wether we will be able to go upstairs to investigate will solely depend on the report from the health & safety inspection.
Keep an eye out on our events page, we will post any information on there as soon as we get anything booked.

Thanks for that Venkman, nice to see some support.
Another thing I would like to say in reference to comments that have been published in the local paper... THE BURTON TRADER
It comments that another independant group based in Swadlincote conducted all the high street investigations in Swadlincote & Gresley Old Hall, this is far from the truth.
FOR THE RECORD
The person who made these comments was appart of the SPI team at the time, his group was not established until he resigned from our group. Swadlincote Paranormal Investigations was the group that conducted all the investigations down high street & to hold the first ever Ghost Walk down Swadlincote High Street & Gresley Old Hall, despite what anyone might of read. We have got documented evidence of that.
We weren't the first group to go & investigate Gresley Old Hall as it was 2 ladies who went up there, one of which I believe is a regular on this site. We were the first group to conduct regular public events up there though & held the first public event in the hall.
There is only so much anyone will sit back & let others lie & try to discredit you on their sites & in the papers. All this information is being documented & believe you me we will be taking action to ensure this will not happen again.

You and I know that the person who made these comments, does not know the truth any more. his life is so distorted from the truth, he doesn't know reality. He changes his story so many times to suit himself ,witch helps him to fit in. It's apart of a condition of being a paranoid schizophrenic lol.
Its amazing that he can remember anything 4 years ago as he was mostly drunk.… If that is the only way they can advertise by saying it a charity, to get free advert in news papers. its a bit sad.
If the charity money gets there, we all know is run in with the benefit fraud office, and Trading standards!!. would you like me to go on...

Gresley Old Hall, at WOOD ROAD CHURCH GRESLEY SWADLINCOTE is not that good for big groups of people. But if you wish to go an your own you can ring up the office Tel: 01283551193 to keep Gresley Hall open in these hard times, you can do you own investigation there, BUT at your own risk, keep safe and don't have nightmares. A draft of a letter with it's history,and ghostly true tales, will be going out too all the paranormal team over the UK.
PS: If you book the rooms, we can provided you the plans of the building and its history,and the ghostly true tales from the staff..
As we where the first ever team to do an public paranormal tours & ghost walks at this locashion.
The first over paranormal investigation there. Was by 7 girls from swad, and a medium from Derby.4 year's ago.They had been locked in overnight on a Vigil, know one could leave in till the cleaner come in the morning.
