For those who want to Investigate on their own or with another group.
At Swadlincote Paranormal, your safety and enjoyment are our primary goal. But if you decide to go off on your own or with another group, here are a few guidelines to take into consideration.
1. PREPARATION
Are you or the group you are with properly prepared to participate in such activity, e.g. correct attire
2. AUTHORISATION
You have authorization to be on the land. The relevant people are approached from Land Owners to the Police.
3. INSURANCE
Be sure that you or the group you are with have adequate insurance, yep insurance because if you cause any damage even to a derelict building & even if you have permission to be in there, YOU could be liable for prosecution should any damage be caused.
Are you covered in case of possible injury?
4. WHERE ARE YOU
If on your own, does anyone else know where you are?
5. COMMUNICATION
Make sure you have a phone or able to contact someone in case of emergency at all times.
6. FIRST AID
Is there a registered first aid in the group, encase of injury.

There are many more things to take into consideration participating in this activity, it can be very dangerous, but fun if approached appropriately and sensibly. If you are unsure, please feel free to ask us for advice and any of our team would be more than willing to assist you.

7. EQUIPMENT
If you take nothing else with you, take a sensibly sized torch and some batteries!

Deffinately, you do need a relaible source of light. You dont want to be walking round a building not knowing where you are walking or what you might be stepping on.
