My shop
OK, just thought you'd like to see where I'm currently doing my truck and 442 projects. This is a 40' x 48' building that I'm renting here in town. This used to house a small auto repair business, but the owner retired and kept the building and rents it out. I was fortunate enough to find this in the classifieds before that week's issue hit the streets, because I work at the newspaper, so I was able to make a deal before anybody else even saw the ad.
It's got a small office in front (where the front window is), but that room is currently my 'parts to be used on my project' store-room. It's also got a small bathroom and pint-sized water heater. You've seen shots of the interior in my regular page updates. The landlord told me not to store any junk vehicles outside, but right now my Studebaker (which I just sold but hasn't been picked up yet) is out back, and my two latest parts trucks are parked in front. Fortunately there's a lot of snow on the ground (and on the trucks) kinda disguising things right now. Those trucks will be brought into the shop very shortly though to get parted out.
My wife and I have decided that we need to start looking for a small rural acreage outside of town, not only for the kids (the current one and the one on the way) to have a place to romp, but so I have a place to actually keep some parts trucks, and maybe even expand this into a part-time business. We're planning on getting started very shortly on the search.

Re: My shop
That's a nice big shop. Where to put the donor trucks and cars can become an issue. They tend to multiply.
I've got a couple of huge ceder trees at the back of my place, the parts trucks are hiding behind them out of site

Re: My shop
Nice shop Keith. I too would like to find a small acreage outside of town. I have 3 acres now that would be great (no restrictions ) but it is in a different school district and we decided we didn't want to make the kids change schools again. So I am still looking. I have 1/2 acre on my lot here in town but the way I tend to accumulate cars, I need more land.
