Re: Gears
Hey Patrick, I'm really happy with my 4.10's. My last crew ran 4.10's as well, with 35" tires. Seemed to work pretty good BUT if I had the cash to do it over I think I'd run 3.73's.
Did that 79 d60 front end pretty much bolt up or did you have to work on making it fit?
And here's a picture of the Wheels I'm going with.

Dang are they pricey! But I really like the looks of them.

Re: Gears
69 it was a bolt up I even had the 79 leafs up front that were a 6in lift on it and now a 4in lift on mine. The spring eyes were larger with larger bolts than the originals so I had to make the holes in the front spring holders larger buy all the other eyes worked fine. Only snag was with the high pinion 60 the driveshaft had to be shortened about 1 3/4 to fit right. Also shock mount on the pass side is in front of the axle and not behind it but the holes are in the frame to mount a driverside mount on the pass for the right angle. I'm happy with the swap and the little bit of lift gives it a better look. And brought that front driveshaft up a bit. Also the spring shackle hangers on the rear of the front leafs to the hanger are longer than the original 70's about 1in.
Thanks everyone for the feedback keep it rollin.Or in my case lets get it rollin!

Re: Gears
I sure wish I could find a D60 Highpinion with Disc for a decent price.
