The new site features are up! EVERYONE PLEASE READ!
OK folks....the new updated website, discussion forums and Photo Galleries are open for business! Most of the website pages themselves aren't going to look much different, aside from some minor details. However, it's the additions that should prove to be fun.
The new discussion forums are located at http://www.fordification.com/forum/ and will be noticeable different...at least visually. I've gone with a much more configurable setup, one which you all are probably accustomed to from other online forums, so there should be very few problems with getting things set up for you. Once you sign up, there will be a confirmation e-mail which will include a link that you'll have to click on to activate your account, so make sure it's a valid e-mail account. I took it for a trial run and found the e-mail confirmation took less than 60 seconds to arrive.
I will be locking the topics in the current Runboard forum (this one) so that no further posts will be allowed. Please start using the new forum for ALL new posts. The Runboard forum WILL stay up for a short period of time, though, as I begin the task of archiving certain threads that are worthy of saving. All Runboard threads which will be archived onto the new board in the Archives section will also be locked. They can be searched through and read, but no additional responses will be allowed. Followups to these threads will have to be continued in a new thread in the appropriate topic area.
The Photo Galleries are the biggest addition to the site. The Photo Galleries are located at http://www.fordification.com/galleries/ . No longer will we have to rely on third-party sites to host the graphics we use on the forums. Now they'll all be in one spot....here on my server. You simply sign up, set up your own Album, and upload pics directly from your computer to the server. For ease of forum users who might search for your photos, when you sign up for the Photo Galleries, please try to use the same username you use on the forums. I'm going to have to closely watch this as you all load things up, but I BELIEVE I have it set up right now to only accept JPG images. Anything else will be refused...however, in the event I need to do some more tweaking, anything OTHER than .jpg images will be deleted by me, in an effort at keeping the server space being used to a minimum. Please be patient with me, as this is all fairly new to me as well, and there might be a slight learning curve involved here.
