The primer is grey laquer from local parts house. It's been on there not quite 2 years.
I'm starting to see some rust on the hood. Most of the truck was stripped to bare metal. It had about a bejillion coats of wrinkled up paint on it when I got It. But no bondo! Well maybe a little....!
It's like Keith said, primer is pretty much temporary. The sun will eventually take it off.
It takes many, many hours of labor and sweat to get an old workhorse truck straight enough for a nice paint job.
At this point in time the primer works just fine for me. Man I'm ramblin.

To answer your other question. No. I drive a fleet vehicle thru the week, so the 67 is a weekend driver

I can honestly say I have never seen a wood grain applique on a tail gate for one of our trucks before. Do you tell everyone you have a Woody?

I wasn't sure about the wood grain i haven't seen another one around her so i thought it may be rare .....the wood parts are all pretty nice but there is one bubble in the tailgate (emoticon( but i am now trying to figure out what my engine is ....i cant find any numbers on the heads but the numbers on the intake match the factory 351c 2bbl intake so i am not sure but i was told it was a 351c .....where are the numbers on the heads are they on the back of the heads and maybe one of yall knows which head its on. Well thanks for the compliments even if its not a 351c i am still gonna keep it and do a swap one day.Bryantracing460 how much did your swap cost ??? well thanks guys.
