Out with the old, in with the new. Ok, so I'm pressed for time to get this engine in and running/broken in. I have to move by the end of May (actually a week before then) so I need the engine in and running yesterday, as I need it to move with! (in other words, please forgive the slight transgression of putting a brand new engine in such a crappy looking engine bay! )
Regardless, it looks a 100 times better, cant wait to fire it up! Should be by the end of next week, as I need to decide what I am doing with the exhaust. Money is an issue, so I may go with log manifolds and re-use my current pipes for the time being, until I can afford a full-on new FPA Tri-y's and 2 1/2 inch exhaust.
BTW: this is a `64 390 block, .030 over, 9.5:1 with CJ valves, .270 crower cam, Performer manifold and 600 carb. With good headers I am looking at around 345 ponies, give or take a few.
Oh, and this is how you put a `64 block into a `69 truck:
