speedo calibration?
Just got my truck back from the mech and one of his jobs was to install a new (used gear and cable) as I was driving away I noticed that I was doing 50 mph when I was at 25 max. Also the 1/10 mile numbers were flying by like I was driving at the speed of light. My question is this, Do i have the wrong gear or is there a way to calibrate the speedo?

Re: speedo calibration?
Yep, sounds like the wrong gear. You change the gears to calibrate. For fords, I believe they usually are identified by the color or the gear as to the tooth count. You can get a list of the common gear sizes and colors if you do a web search. You could use your old gear if it's not wore out. They are fairly simple to change. MK

Re: speedo calibration?
To get your speedo calibration just go to your local ford dealer and they can sell you the new gear, just know your tire size and gear ratio.
