gear indicator light

do our trucks have any? on the steering column we had to do some wiring work because the retainer broke and the horn was randomly honking at people so we disconected the horn till we fixed it and we took a long while to find the part. I cannot remember if it had a light though. if it did I do not know how to fix it. it is a pain at night so i'm kinda hoping there is at least a kit.

No, unfortunately a backlit shift indicator was not an option with these trucks. It probably wouldn't be too hard to fit something in there, using something similar to the light clip that's attached to the lighter socket. That's actually not a bad idea....I'll have to play around with that idea when I get to that point in my project.

just brainstorming....and I came up with something that may work. have you seen those glow in the dark stars that you can hang on walls and ceiling? If a person could find one in the right size and shape it might work as a backdrop behind the needle.

Im looking at an led in the column at or near the signal switch placed near the clear tab underneath the column area,,it is small does not require much draw on the electric and wont burn out anytime soon.
