Fuel Gauge Problems
I started to have a problem with me fuel gauge. It will move up just a tad over the empty mark and stop no matter how much gas I have. I have pulled the float and checked it and its good, matter of fact I just replaced it a few months ago. Made sure all of the connections were ok and they seem to be. Any suggestions out there in Fordification Land.

Re: Fuel Gauge Problems
With the key in the acc. position, pull the orange wire off the tank sender and ground it. The fuel gauge should go all the way past the full mark any bury itself.

Re: Fuel Gauge Problems
Thanks for the troubleshooting tip 68F250, I grounded the wire and it did bury itself to the full mark, so that tells me I have power to the gauge from the wire and that the gauge itself is working then that only leaves the fuel sending unit right?

Re: Fuel Gauge Problems
Yeah it sure looks that way. Everything from the orange wire forward is ok so that leaves only the tank sender or a bad ground on the sender.
