Carburator Help
Let me start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about cars. I've been reading the postings here the last couple of days and I must say that I'm impressed with the breadth of knowledge you guys have. Computers I know, but vehicles are a mystery to me, so my hat's off to you!
Not knowing something hasn't stopped me from digging into it though. My project is a '68 F100 that's had exactly two owners: Grandpa and me. Grandpa's long gone these days and I'm taking a crack at fixing up his old truck.
Towards that end, I've pulled the carburator and had it rebuilt. Now I'm trying to put it back in again. I've got the little puppy bolted down and the vacuum lines and fuel line hooked up. But I'm a little perplexed on the trottle linkage. I've got this funny spring, a little rod, and a pully that all look like they should go together in some weird mating ritual. Does anyone have a diagram they could send me to light the way? My Chiltons just doesn't seem to have a picture of just the area I need.
A buddy tells me I have a straight six engine. I'm just glad something on this project is straight.
Thanks,
-Todd
