Eastwood Company

If you are restoring a vehicle you might want to check these guys out. They have everything to make your ride look new. I have used the Rust Encapsulator and Chassis black on the frame of my 72 Toyota Land Cruiser. After I painted it the chassis sat outside all summer waiting for some garage space to open up. I have not seen any rust clouds or rust bleed through. I know black is black but thier chassis black looks just like OEM black and its hard as nails.
The down side? They have on-line ording but I have not been able to work the vodoo to get an account. Every time I enter all my personal data I get a screen that says basicaly go back and edit the bad customer data. It's my data how do they know its incorrect? I have sent 2 emails to thier tech support folks but have not gotten any replys.

OK I got some email traffic from Danielle at Eastwood Company customer support today and she got my on-line account all squared away. Once they got to my issue they stayed with me until I was a happy camper.

Too bad there isn't an eastwood store. It seems so hard to get their products.

Re: Eastwood Company

Eastwood has a few items that are hard or impossible to get anywhere else - like there lead kits. Pricey but good. As for most of the other stuff - you can buy it elsewhere for a lot cheaper. All of there body stuff (hammer, sanding pads, etc) can be purchased at NAPA for half of eastwoods price. You can even get some of their stuff from harbor freight tools for 1/4 of what eastwood wants. (welding stuff, panel clamps, apint guns, etc) They seem to be making a killing on their Hotshot home powder coating kits - because they devote 1/4 of the catalog to it. Their sanding discs and metal polishing stuff is WAY overpriced. Before you buy from them - look around - you may be suprised.
