F100 '67 made in Argentina
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'll try to answer all the questions by means of a brief history of these trucks in Argentina.
Until 1960, all F100 were imported into the country from the States. From that year on, the trucks were entirely made in our country by Ford Motors Argentina, curiously, they continued to use Y-blocks 292 until 1984. The bodies were updated according to design trends, but the changes appeared one year later than your trucks.
To my mind, as from 1970, a 6-cylinder version came out (CID 221) with 132 HP. Also in the same year, the Y-block 292 was upgraded, especially with renewed head cylinders, which rendered 180 HP. This model was called Phase 2 here (before that, it used to be called Phase 1). I don't know how successful this engine was in the States, here in Argentina it turned out to be the best engine ever and nowadays it's still considered "a rock" (undestructible). Please, let me know if any of my technical English is inadequate. Corrections are welcome! PS.the phase 1 has 160hp

Re: F100 '67 made in Argentina
Are you building a phase 2 engine? What are the casting numbers on the phase 1 and or phase 2 heads?

Re: F100 '67 made in Argentina
Very intresting Rijar, seems like here in the states they keep coming up with the new stuff and keeping the older stuff in other countries. Just like the 5.0, just when Ford had the bragging rights on street performance with the Mustang GT 5.0 they stopped production and came up with the 4.6 which in my opinion isn't the engine the 5.0 was.

Re: F100 '67 made in Argentina
Hmmm...I haven't seen any codes except those for American and Canadian trucks. I'll do some poking around, but I'll be honest...I don't think I'm going to be able to find anything for your truck.
Normally the codes start off with an 'F' (for Ford) or an 'M' (for Mercury). I've never seen a VIN that started out with a 'K' before. Interesting. Is there any way you could post a closeup pic of your VIN tag?

Re: F100 '67 made in Argentina
Hello Keith. The letters KA belong to Argentina for trucks made by Ford Motors Argentina.
