TEXAS... again I guess
Ok I have been making a few posts to the Body & Paint forums answering questions when I can since our product was mentioned a few days ago. As long as Keith allows me to hang around I'll drop by and answer what I can on subjects..
I live in Grand Prairie, Texas (Dallas) and our shop is located in E. Texas (Mt. Vernon).
I don't have a Ford Truck, sorry folks, but i do have a couple of hot 67 Camaros :)
If I owned each of the cars/trucks in all the forums I've been to and bought as requested by the members I'd have the following:
Ford Truck
Ford Bronco
Porsche ( ya right)
Couple of Chevelles
One or 2 Thunderbirds
Cobra
and 2 Mustangs
Wife says 3 67 Camaros are 2 too many so I can't have new toys now. So I just talk to the guys that do and wish I had the room.
I love talking to auto type folks and hearing the stories and tips and tricks of the field. I've learned alot reading all the forums, and even meet a lot of the people at swap meets and in person. I'd much rather talk to people who use a product them some buyer at a large company, plus I get to see how it worked in your application. Some of the pics and real life views I have seen are way beyond what I imagined was possable.
I'm not a marketing dweeb or sales guy. I work on the cars/trucks too, in fact as I type this I have grey fingers and will have for the next week or so *sigh*, Even I can't seem to recall to WEAR GLOVES even for small projects.
Several meets are coming up in the DFW area and I'd love for you to drop in and say hello and meet ya in you attend..

Re: TEXAS... again I guess
Hello from Big Bear...'67 is a fine vintage for any classic. If I where to make a list of every classic I wanted to bring home, I'd run out of characters allowed per this post, and I'd need a huge parking structure.

Dave: It's good to have you here. Looking forward to talking you into getting a Ford truck. I mean, you gotta have something to tow the Chebbies home on occasion, right? j/k. Post some pictures when you can. I'd be interested in seeing your projects.

You asked.. Past and present toys below.. Give ya an idea of what I play with now.. and in the past.. I *do* get my hands dirty :)
This is my pride and joy.. The car I drive now.. 1967 Base 327 Plane Jane, converted to a Clone SS/RS 396 (really a 500+ HP 427 under the hood) with full options.
Before and Afters... 3 years of work and parts hunting undoing some teenagers mistakes..
AND PRESENTLY LOOK AS SO.. Taken at last show
67 Camaro SS Number #2 BB 325hp/396
67 Camaro SS Number #3 True L78
These are my present toys.. I have pics of a 1965 SS Chevelle I did about 15 years ago that started it all if interested :)
Sorry it's not a FORD, but it's all I have at the moment..

Re: TEXAS... again I guess
Welcome rust bullet! We all can't be perfect and own a Ford, right?(j/k) Anyway welcome aboard and I will have a few quedtions for you in the future about my pet project. It's a 67 Fairlane 500 2dr hdtp that my Grandfather bought new in Oct of 66. It was the last new car he bought. He traded every 2 years in the odd years and only bought Fords. The first new Ford he bought was a 49 sedan. I don't have a pic but I do have some of his sweet 55-57-and 59s. My moms fav was the 55 crown vic 2dr hdtp. It was white and salmon. She got her first ticket in it drag racing!!
Again, Welcome from North Dakota.

Re: TEXAS... again I guess
Welcome, I was going to say ya had to leave (j/k) but after the before and afters, you are alright in my book. (obviously a man of great patience)
Besides, I had some of that of brand stuff (67 Camaro, 71 Camaro) before I saw the light.
I might take a jab every now and then, but I'm just a car guy deep down, I love em all, camaros novas mustangs fairlanes galaxies, torinos, cudas, challengers chargers, belvederes polarias, darts, impalas biscane you name it I can figure a way to make it cool.
I think if I could use a time machine and go back and get just one, it would have to be a Thunderbolt though.
Welcome again!
