 Dallas, y'all...
I just dropped $406 on a 1970 F-100 Ranger, Styleside, long bed, with a 351 Windsor 2-barrel, 4-speed, in primer gray with blue interior and a red seat. No brakes, smashed windshield, no radio, ugly wheels, bald tires, and a lot of evidence of hard driving.
Yeah, I got a lot of work to do.
Thanks go to eBay for providing a venue where people can buy and sell their trucks and have idiots like me bid over and over again for them. If I had waited until the last second to bid I could have had it for $250 or so.

You sure its a 351 W? That would be a swap, probably a good swap but headers are hard to find.
These are cool old trucks, you will love it.

Hey there...welcome to the forums! Glad to have you aboard. So what should we call you? Did you just recently get this truck on E-bay? Do you have a link to it so we can check it out?
There are a lot of Ford pickup owners here with parts trucks, so be sure to give us a holler when you need something...as I'm sure you will, based on the description you gave of your truck.

the owner previous to the guy I bought it from, did swap to a 351W. I need to determine what year. It's a 2-barrel, electric choke, so it either came from a passenger car or an 81-85 pickup.

It amuses me to no end about the censorship on FTE, I'm a new member over there, maybe a week or two, and already have edited posts because I mentioned other sites that happen to have forums, even though the links I posted were to tech articles!
This was eBay item# 2477750214 and was a local purchase for me as it is in Plano and I'm in Dallas. I paid the deposit for the truck last week and will have a friend help me tow it home Friday night, so I can spend all next weekend getting it road reasy.

The seller has also offered to finish primering the truck and I hope it's ready by then, I can drive it all summer in primer, do a quick sanding, and get paint done in the fall.
This is the eleventh vehicle I've purchased online since 1999, 8 of them on eBay.
1978 Chevy Impala, 1988 Dodge Shadow, 1989 Ford Escort, 1989 Toyota Tercel, 1988 Buick Century, 1989 Buick Century, 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity, 1989 Oldsmobile Ciera, 1984 Chevrolet Caprice, 1986 Volvo 740, and now this truck.

Welcome to the board! Have fun with your truck. I have a '68 F100. If you need to find the turn signal flasher, it's not the one by the 4way flasher switch. I found mine behind the to of the instrument cluster, after I pulld it out of the dash.

at least it isn't a 7200VV.
I thought about swapping a 392 stroker into mine for parts availibility, i think it would make a good swap. I'm betting a little digging would net some headers that would work.
Doesn't look like a bad buy at all from what we can see in the auction!
