Monday 9-22-08 - We're almost back! Hey everyone. Just thought I'd let you know (if anyone's checking this out) that the FORDification forums should be back online something this evening.
I posted a notice on the site's front page yesterday stating that I thought I'd have them back later last night, but the 'Search' feature indexing took longer than I'd anticipated. In fact, it was still running on my computer when I went to work this morning....after running non-stop for the past two days.
Anyway, I just got home from work and see that the indexing is done....so now I'm FINALLY uploading the newly-converted database to our server. As I type this at 6:23 PM CST, there's about 2 hours 45 minutes left before the upload is complete (it's a very large database!). Once it's there, I'll have a few tweaks to do to get it back online...but things should be up and running before I go to bed tonight.

Re: Monday 9-22-08 - We're almost back! Well, more bad news. I got almost all the way thru the upload and then lost my connection...and for some reason it's not allowing me to resume the upload! That means I have to restart the darned thing. Because of the size of the database, there's no way it'll be done tonight. And to top it off, my FTP software now tells me that my upload speed has been cut in half, meaning this upload is going to take 8 hours!
So...I guess I'll leave it running all night and pray that I don't lose the connection again. Hopefully things will be up and running tomorrow night.

We all know that you're doin' the best ya can, and will have it back on line justy as quickly as you possibly can...
I want ya to know that we're not gonna die from withdrawl before ya do...

My truck thanks you too..
Were it not for this site, it would have been scrapped a couple of years ago...
Now it's up and runnin' and doin' what it was built for... haulin' me and my camper around the country...

I was finally able to upload the database and went to configure it, only to find that it wasn't complete! That is, it was only about 80% there. So now I get to do it all over again.
Sorry guys....and thanks for your patience. I'm definitely trying here. I can see light at the end of the tunnel, I'm just not getting there as quickly (and painlessly) as I'd like.
