Rearend ID Please
I was hoping somebody could help me to id the rearend in my '75 f150. I lit up the tires on it and it layed down two strips of black rather than the one layed down in my '69. I was thinking of putting the rearend in the '69 if it does turn out to be a limited slip. Anyways, the tag says:
DM AU 5DC
25 9 387B
Any help is very appreciated.

Re: Rearend ID Please
Wish I could help you, but my book only goes up to '71. However, if that F150 is a 2WD, the rearend assembly won't fit, due to the rear frame on that era of truck being several inches wider than your '69. The spring mounting pads are going to be several inches farther apart to compensate for the added frame width. However, if both trucks have a 9" Ford rearend, then the pumpkin should interchange. However, the F150's axles are going to be wider, meaning you'll have to use your old ones, but I'm thinking the spline count is different. Anyway, read this thread.
