I don't know when they started making the E-series vans but here is a pic of a 77 E-series van steering wheel. Sure looks the same as the trucks.

I think the earlier years ('68, '69 etc.) with the three-spoke wheels don't have as deep a dish as the truck ones.

I have a 72 F-100 and I swapped my steering wheel out for a Ford Van's steering wheel. It was the exact same as what I pulled of my truck. I'm unsure as to what the Year/Model of the van, but if you want I can find out.

Cool! The exact year isn't really important, but if you can easily find out that would be great. I was mainly wondering if there was any difference in the steering column shaft's spline count and the amount of dish in the wheel. I'm thinking of doing some looking around and see if I can't find a flatter original-style van wheel...I think it might help with driver comfort for the long hauls.
