First Of Many Stupid questions-Wheels??
First thing I want to do with the truck is replace the rubber. So I was thinking about wheels as well. What is the name of the wheel pattern for a 68 f100, And will modern wheels people have taken off fit the old truck? If so through which years.
Thanks.

Re: First Of Many Stupid questions-Wheels??
The bolt pattern of your pickup is 5 x 5-1/2". Ford used this bolt pattern on all 1/2-ton pickups up through the mid-'90s, when they went to an oddball metric measurement. I can't recall exactly when the cutoff is, but there are plenty of factory rims that will fit your truck. Here's a graphic I whipped up a while back which shows a few of your options.
The pic in the upper right corner is like the one in the auction link, except that it's also got the beauty rings and center cap. In fact, Jeeps use the same bolt pattern, so there's another source for some cool factory mags.

Re: First Of Many Stupid questions-Wheels??
Excellent, just the type of info I wanted. I would like to find some use wheels and tires that were taken off a Ford. I want to keep the truck as manufacture specific as possible. Love your site.
Since buying the truck on Sat I have spent way to much time hear reading.
