Factory AC units

I now have a total of 3 of the factory underdash air conditioning setups, with controls and hoses. The compressor and engine brackets I don't have. These things are taking up space in the shop, I know I'll never use them (since I'm going with the smaller under-dash dealer add-on unit)...so somebody make me a deal. I really would like to get rid of them. Here's a picture of one of them, the bad one, just so you know what we're talking about here:

Image

The unit pictured here is missing a couple grille pieces, and would be OK for a driver or as a parts unit. The other two are complete and in good shape. The grilles on the other two have several grille pieces broken on one side but are still connected on the other side, so those would be an easy fix. I believe I've got the special vent hookups for all sets, too.

Let's deal...cash or trade for Ford pickup parts.

I sold the last one I had on ebay a few weeks ago and it fetched $45 I think. I thought it would do a little better but I only gave 5 bucks and an hour of my time removing it all so I was glad to have the big dinosour out of my small parts shed. I got $75 for amother one from a guy that came and bought some other stuff.

Re: Factory AC units

all the mounting surfaces on the front are different. different water pump, coolant filter, etc. it would seem that newer medium duty trucks commonly have a/c, and many had 370/429 with this setup. I'm going to try to use those brackets. hopefully I'll find york-style compressor brackets, so I dont have to modify too much.
