Re: NOS 68 or 69 Grill
Good luck finding any dealers with these Grilles sitting in a back room Keith! I talk with dealers all over the country every week as a part-time business and the main reason I'm talking to them is to find out about any NOS Obsolete Parts they may have sitting around. I often find a few select pieces, but rarely ever hit the jackpot. People like Green Sales have had their salesmen on the road for many years calling on dealers and buying everything they can, so it's almost dried up.
But the most sickening thing I find all too many times is the dealer that recently moved into a new building, and had a whole room full of old 40's thru 70's parts that they could never get rid of. So instead of moving it to the new building, they just called in a huge dumpster for a day and trashed every bit of it!! I remember one parts manager telling me they threw away all kinds of old NOS Tailgates, Bedsides, and misc Fenders that they had no clue what they fit.... It just made me want to cry!!
It's so hard to believe in this day of ebay and classic cars that someone could be living so far into the past...

It certainly needs a good home! And I have to agree, that if you need one, then it's time to stop worrying about the price and just buy the darn thing! There can't be but a hand full left! This is one of them parts that if you need it, then mortgage the house for it!

Re: NOS 68 or 69 Grill
wow...no kidding! And to think I just sent an e-mail to someone a while back telling him that NOS grilles could be had for $300-$400. Over the past few months these seem to be getting more and more money at auction!
