69 f100 short bed has to go - SOLD!

I am selling my 69 F100 short bed - you can check the ford-trucks.com site for my gallery -lots of pics.

Trucks has a 360 and 3 speed manual trans, does not spew oil and runs strong,

previous owner dealt with the rust by welding in new cab corners and cab mounts. The hood hinge mounting points also have newer metal welded in.

Truck had headers and a newer dual exhaust. Radiator is brand new 3-core, new t-stat and hoses. Big distributor cap mod and 8mm plug wires - plugs are new as well.

2V carb with manual choke - started all winter (in Iowa) with a little choke, 2 slaps on the gas, and a twist of the key.

has a 67 grille and the box looks to be 67 as well. Door and frame vins match (69).

No tears in the seat or the dash pad - tinted windows. I drove this truck from Reading Penn. to Iowa last fall with no problems except for a rock in the rad (that's why a new one)

Truck is missing the fender extensions and grille valance - I have replacements ready to go. It also has a Pro Net instead of a tailgate. I have another tailgate if you want it - it needs a little work and is orange.

Queations? email me! I have an ad here and at the "other" site before I put it on ebay.

I am asking 2500 for the truck and that will be my reserve when and if it goes to ebay.

A request for pics. The last time I checked Ken had give me access back to get on the site but I went back and poked around a little and didn't recognize many of the people. The 67-72 forum is just like one of those reels that they used to run behind Elvis in his movies, the same tree comes on a prdictably regular basis. It is always the same old stuff, some new guy wanting to know how to put power steering or disc brakes on his F-100. Yawn

Nice truck, if you can't get $2500 out of that truck I would be amazed. You must have some nice vehicles if this is the one getting axed.

Re: 69 f100 short bed has to go

Thanks Willowbilly.

Actually, this is the nicest one. The next one is a 68 longbed Ranger automatic with a 390. The truck runs decent but its' interior is shot, and the body needs paint, but there is no rust except where the rancher who owned it carried salt blocks out to the cattle in Cali. On the tailgate!

It has the tool stowage in the passenger side of the bed, and originally came with the aux. fuel tank but that is gone.

I have cleaned up and painted the engine bay some, and put new poly bushings in the rear springs and put on new shocks all around.

The cool thing about the 68 is that I have a ton of parts that will go with it - perfect dash pad, front and rear chrome bumpers (with brackets), stock steering wheel and horn ring, gauge cluster from a 68 F600 that has had the paint removed (shines purty) - with a vac. gauge.

Then I will start working through my excess parts stash - hood hinges, engine parts, extra chrome, stock dash clusters, heat stoves, yada yada..

I forgot to mention I have a decent 69 grille for the green truck that be had for a small additional cost as well as a power brake setup and most of a power steering setup (missing the column)

Anyway, I wanted to offer these to folks who know about them at my bottom price first, before they go to ebay.

Thanks again,
Pat
