Yea, those would look ok. Thats exactly what I was thinking...Older ford OEM mirrors..I knew all the late 50's and early 60's were round. Some attach to the upper door part I think..
But that one mounts like the factory part for your year. It's just round..The OEM part for 68 was square, or a rectangle. Whatever... I think either one would be ok. Round might have a slightly less wind resistance and noise. I wish mine, "the same you have now" had a deeper cowl in front like the newer ones. The newer ones, even big, are pretty aerodynamic. But they are almost molded into the body also... MK

I can't explain why, but the square ones just dont seem right. But I figure if I stick with OEM ford stuff it will look like it might have came that way.
