General Forum Help and Tech Support
Since the "Look Here for Answers" thread has gone off on a whole other tangent (and been moved), I'm migrating some of the old help questions to this new thread.
If anyone has a "Tech Support" related question about the board, it can be posted here.

Once you reach "Veek," that's it until you reach 1000 posts, when you have the option to choose a title that represents you, amuses you... And to ask your fellow Vixens for input on same.
That's how FSF got the title of "Computer Novelwright," Cygnus's is "Celestial Cygnet," etc.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a technical problem. I cannot insert a quote anymore into the text. The cursor simply disappears when I hit the start quote box? Am I doing something wrong?

Hmm... I just tried, and it worked for me. Personally, I don't use the buttons; I simply type the coding into my message.
If the button isn't working, all you need to do is type [ quote ] at the beginning of your quote and [ /quote ] at the end (take out the spaces inside the brackets). The result is the same.  And looks like this:

The COLOR tag is a bit more complicated (if the button doesn't bring up the choose-a-color window, you'd have to know the number of the color you want), but [ col=#ee0000 ]COLOR[ /col ] --> COLOR
And, of course, there's [ big ]BIG[ /big ] (BIG) and [ small ]SMALL[ /small ] (SMALL).

Dear Leda,
My ISP is AOL, so I have no idea whether I'm using their web browser or not. I could use Internet Explorer, but I'm a total computer illiterate.
I don't think the problem is the web browser; though. I have been able insert quotes before. This problem just cropped up in the last few days. I think what I should do is update my anti-virus software and spyware. What do you think?
