Hi, Soleil, and welcome! 
"Who are you?" is one of the Members Only boards (for privacy, you understand). Membership is granted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the schedules and review of the Staff.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we've had a lot of people drop by, post once, and disappear, never to be heard from again. For the privacy and security of our members, we don't automatically grant membership to all of those people, out of concern that they might abuse the private information/photos of our family here. I hope you understand. 
So, in a nutshell, dive in and start contributing to discussions (no matter how old), and member access will come. Hope that makes sense.
