I think the watermark idea is a good one, but my friend is not keen! 
There is one plan which I think is really funny, if you make your pictures/photos the background image of a <table> You can then place a transparent .gif, the same size as your table over the top - When a viewer goes to save or print the picture, it always comes out blank as it will read the transparent .gif!
I like this idea, but it would take forever to implement, on an already complete website!
