V/Evey Songs?
Has there ever been a particular song that reminds you of V and Evey? It could be the lyrics, the style, the mood, the music video (?) or some random reason.
At the moment, 'Love Me Not' by TATU reminds me of the two. LOL I really don't know why, it could be the lyrics, or the style of the song, but I always get a mental picture of the two! I'm working on a V/Evey video using the song
Oh, and while we're on this subject, my friend is reminded of V/Evey whenever she hears the song 'Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" by Good Charlotte She's one crazy girl.

Re: V/Evey Songs?
Now you come to mention it...
Some time after encountering V4V, I found a song I'd never heard before; "This Woman's Work", by Kate Bush. I can't tell you what it is about it, but somewhere between the melody and the lyrics, and not to mention Kate's beautifully plaintive voice, it makes me consider Evey's state of mind after losing V.
Okay, now I'm crying. It is a very very very sad song, and that's without having seen the video that goes with it, which only makes things worse

Re: V/Evey Songs?
Yup. "Face of a Faith" by Nellie McKay
I'd never heard it before Sister had me watch Rumor Has It, but that song started playing over a scene, and though I didn't pay real close attention at first, when it got to the line, "I let it go... Yes, I let it go... My fear is gone....", I got a sudden, forcible mental image of Evey standing in the rain.
I made Sister back up the movie so I could hear the song from the beginning, and listened closely; as I did, more and more images flooded my mind, and thus was my first music video created!

You must have not read my multiple posts about Kate's music (and MK's too). I put "This Women's Work" under the thread about songs that make you cry. "Reaching Out" is another one that's a tear-jerker, but not in the same way as TWW.
And here's the Video
(although YouTube was having some site sluggishness).

Re: V/Evey Songs?
A song that reminds me of V/Evey is Aimee Man's "Save Me" - video here . This song is from one of my fav movies, "Magnolia" (BTW, in the movie this song centers around the love story between the cop and the drug addict, which is a very sweet story).
Although is suppose to be sung by a women, some of the lyrics remind me of what V might be feeling, such as:
"But can you save me
Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone"
Complete lyrics here

Re: V/Evey Songs?
"Wasting the Dawn" by The 69 Eyes (Ville Valo background vocals ).
Been runnin' away
so long from the day
Into the strange night of stone
To fade away
As the light is gently
Bleedin' out of my soul
Penetratin' the evening
As I ride
On this endless road
But you can't turn back the time
It always gonna wait on the line
Some may wish never to be born
Wastin' the dawn
Like a rose growin' from the Christ's thorn
Wastin' the dawn
Been waitin' for you for so long
Little bird of prey
To fly me higher
To the brighter day
Where the Lizard lingers long
Under the sun
Forgettin' the night
Darkest July
Paris '71...
Some may wish never to be born....

Re: V/Evey Songs?
I think 'Wind beneath my wings' by Bet Midler. I like the lyrics and the music and just the song for V & Evey to dance to.
