Nice to see I'm not the only one....
Wow, I just found this forum today and I have to say THANK GOODNESS because I thought I the ONLY woman who fell in love with "V" after wathing the movie.
I saw it for the first time about a week and a half ago, since then I have seen it 6 times, have the soundtrack and think about it for hours on end.
Like many of you I have tried to figure out exactly why this movie and character has had such an intense affect on me but just can't quite pin it down.
I love his voice, the way he uses words, his body language, his hair, oh how I love his hair. There is something extremely mesmorizing about him and I'm hooked.
I just wanted to say hello to you all, and thank you for being here. I have had this sense of guilt for feeling how I do, and to know I am not alone is HUGE.

Yep...we've all been there too...Great Soundtrack! I'm still listening to it, and still tearing up to "Evey Reborn".

Check out some of the old threads I just recently referenced on "Greatest Hits of LOTSG" in the help section.

Yes you are...join the club...It is really cool to see someone who just caught the V bug! Afraid we've all gotten a bit jaded.
BTW, as to the voice and the words, there is an entire thread founded on the premise that they have a...how should I say it?...a visceral effect:
"The Erotic Dynamics of Alliteration, or Why it Felt That Way" by CyranoRox
One of the best "old threads" on the board!

Welcome lmillar!
I wonder how many of the newbies start their first post with 'Thank God I found this place!' I know I did. I was convinced that no one was likely to feel the same way about V that I do, I trawled the internet for months looking for something to satisfy my obsession! Finally found this place and it rocks!

Re: Nice to see I'm not the only one....
Thank you for the very warm welcome everyone.
I had been looking at "V" info and images all over the net and even checked over a few forum boards, but NEVER say anyone else who was as captivated as I was. Hence my wondering if I were the only one...lol.
Its a strange feeling to be so caught up as I am, its not "me" at all. I watch many movies, excellent ones, ones that make me think, ones that challenge me to think, and I have never in my life experienced anything like this before.
Feeling alone and a bit strange after not being able to get the character out of my head I was starting to think I was losing it. Great to see I'm not.
"VLA" thats cute, as to me thats why I'm here, lol. My husband is aware that I am a little obsessed with the movie, hence the MSN image, our "V" desktop, the soundtrack and many screenings, but I don't exactly feel comfortable telling him that I'm mostly obxessed with the character of "V".
So again, many thank you's for the warm welcome, and just for being here everyone, its a huge relief I tell you to be able to share.

Oh, yess, that is the primary symptom!!! I made several trips to my therapist for reassurance. She told me, among other things, that all kids need super-heros. And as an adult passionate woman, it was A-OK if my hero was sexy, too. (I love my therapist!)
V has enriched my life in so many ways. Tomorrow, I am wearing my little V amulet (Click Here! ) to a job interview, and I will not be afraid!

Me to! I used to feel really guilty about how obsessed I am with V. Hubby is starting to get the picture I think - after the 50th watch of the movie, the pictures I have drawn, our desktop, the gn and many other clues! I don't think he would be too chuffed to realise that I spend almost every waking moment thinking about him tho!
I have to delete my history every night, just in case! How devious!!
I once caught him looking at stuff that didn't make me too happy! So, I no longer feel guilty, this is payback! I just never imagined I would feel this intensely about a fictional character! (Actually, I was pretty obsessed with Gregory Peck when I first saw 'To Kill a Mockingbird' but I was just a kid and probably looking for a father figure or something.)
Hubby had to know about my involvement on this forum - 'cos I'm here so much and he kept asking what I was doing, but I still don't think he realises that we sit about writing about V all day long! I asked him to wear a cape in the bedroom once and he wasn't keen! Wish I could get him to dress up as V without him realising that it's V I would be thinking about throughout! What a night of passion that would be!
Perfect time to announce: If ever I disappear without a trace, then hubby has discovered my secret and I will be banned from the forum!

Re: Nice to see I'm not the only one....
Thank you again, you guys are all so understanding, not to mention funny.
Yesterday I downloaded some of the screen shots from here, YUMMY, I have V on my desktop looking over his shoulder, the image from the first scene where he meets Evey, as he's giving his speech full of "V's".
I have tried to post in the introductions forum but it won't let me. Any ideas? It would be nice to share with you a little about myself and see who you guys are too.
