friendlysolarflare's MP3 & CN REQUEST THREAD
This thread is for posting requests you may have for audio clips. friendlysolarflare, she of the fabulous CNs, kindly offered to take requests after I asked about complete line clips versus the clips where she's cut a line or speech into pieces.
To start the ball rolling, FSF, I humbly ask for V's Intro to Evey. I currently have a version, but after listening to it in the midst of your clips, I realized there's a VAST difference in quality. If it's not too much trouble or too big a file, how about from V saying, "I assure you, I mean you no harm," through... "Like God, I do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence." If that's too much, I can ask for it in a couple of pieces. (Hey, for a second, I almost asked for the clip to end with the Old Bailey exploding, so I've already restrained myself. )
And a non-V request (imagine that) - Could I ask for Finch's speech, starting with "The trouble is, he knows us better than we know ourselves" through the dominoes falling? (I desperately want to hear the clacking of the dominoes accompanying the bass line - the only thing the soundtrack needs to be perfect, IMO). If it helps with file size and isn't too much trouble, you can clip out the moments where Finch isn't talking and they're just showing the girl getting shot or the soldiers... You can even just end the clip with Finch saying, "And then...", if you need to, and skip the dominoes.
Thanks!

I thank you for starting this thread with so many kind words *takes a bow* - and please: there's no need to be shy - ask and ye shall receive!

V's Intro to Evey from "I can assure you ..." to "... are you hurt?"
quote:

I can make that one too, if you'd like. Or just a new one, beginning with "Do you like music?" ?

Here you go: Finch's Speech & The Dominoes falling
Well, because I can - it ends with V walking past the dominoes and picking up the last one - I just looooove the sound of his sloooow footsteps

Re: friendlysolarflare's MP3 Request Thread
Oooh. Here's one I've already got, but in much poorer quality: the Multiplying Villanies intro. Could I request that one? Just those nine words, no more
Thanks and hugs in advance!

V: "The multiplying villainies of nature do swarm upon him"
... and a version a little bit longer: Evey: "Help please ..." ... V: "The multiplying villainies of nature do swarm upon him"

You read my mind!!! I love those footsteps myself, but I wasn't sure how long the clip was going to end up being, so I didn't ask for them...
I can't wait to get home and download it! Hmm... Maybe I could manage it here at the office... I'll have to fiddle.
THANKS!! If I think of any others, I'll be back!
EDIT: I fiddled, and got the office computer & my ZVM to talk to each other long enough to transfer the files - I'm hearing dominos clacking as I type! *happy dance* I miss getting to hear that in the theatre. And it's so nice to hear V's alliteration without the muffled sound I had before.
All the various MP3s are playing shuffled at the moment, and it's odd, hearing the movie all rearranged like this.
New request: V does Hamlet! "We are oft to blame in this, 'tis too much proved, that with devotion's visage and pious action, we do sugar o'er the devil himself" "What's that mean?" "Spare the rod." (as one clip, please) Please and thank you.

Re: friendlysolarflare's MP3 Request Thread
ButMad, exelent thread! I give you karma point!
edit- it is good ideia not to post the all sound off movie.
after all we´re looking after "those" special takes,
and yes, the file would be quite big.
And frienflysolaire is happy doing it, so, no problem!
I must admit those particulary takes are way more
interesting tha hearing a full 2 h and 7 minutes of it!
so, keep the good work, and sorry my crazy ideia!

I'm glad to hear that you were able to make the mp3 player and the computer work together
I'll make the Hamlet clip tonight, when I get home from work.
What does it mean anyway. I'm having difficulties understanding Shakespeare even when translated into Danish
