But you came back with a shiny new avatar.

(It's nifty keen, but takes a bit to load.)

pw emoticon emoticon so glad to see you again emoticon

.....................

PS: love your new avatar emoticon emoticon

.....................

I'm glad to see your "kitty avatar" again, Mel, it's just so beautiful!

Thanks for the warm welcome back Melinda and FriendlySolarFlare!

Thank you both for noticing my new avatar! emoticon
And MK, that is a great, great picture of your joyful beauty. I am so happy to see that again in an updated version of your avatar! (Boh did a great job with the background and lay-out didn't she?)

You know the whole 'Evey emerges from prison' to 'V takes her to the rooftop' sequence is one of my favorites. I had been wanting to do an animated avatar for ages, but just hadn't had the time to fool around with my GIF animation program.

Ain't JASC Paint Shop Pro and JASC Animation Shop great?!?!

I am rather proud of how the raindrop effect worked out...cool huh? And as to the delayed loading thing, even though it's compressed and only 100 X 100 pixels, it is still a 1.2 MB GIF picture sequence. But I think once it has done its initial load, your computer wil save a copy of it in your hard drive web cache, and from then on it will load instantly. But if people think it's gumming anything up let me know.

The current avatar is actually "Version 6.0" after trying several different sequences and effects. I am also working on one that features V's domino sequence....who knows where this will lead? I get a bit obsessive/perseverative about photo-graphics, and avatars give me an outlet for my attempts at creativity. Plus I like changing them!

Anywho, being a bit of an atheist/agnostic/pagan/spiritualist/animist, I should qualify that the "God is in the Rain" thing is not a judeo-christian statement for me, or for that matter any organized statement of faith....but "it gets me every time".

So anyway FSF, if you have the time and the inclination, I really think you should keep working on the CN's. From the responses you get, it looks to me like everyone loves them. While you may be right that the release of the DVD will cool some of the fervor for viewing scenes from the film as sound and stills, what you have created has a unique graphic novel-like feel to it, that gives one the time to analyze and understand the subtleties and nuances of the scenes much more deeply. Maybe Melinda and I can come up with some more favorite scene requests for you! I agree with the Old Bailey destruction scene.

.....Hey I just reviewed the list of CN's...It doesn't look to me like you have done Evey's discovery and reading of Valerie's letter on her cell floor by the light that comes in under the door. How about that one? That is the scene that always makes me the most emotional when I watch the film.

Thanks again for all you do! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I've been thinking about doing the scene, where V blows up the Old Bailey...

OOH!!! That'd make a lovely one.

I'll make an official request for that. emoticon

Thanks, then I'd better start working on it emoticon

The question is if anyone will be interested in new CNs once they have their own copy of the DVD?

Yes.

It's like owning the movie and the GN. Both are enjoyable in different ways.

Oh, but of course, you're right, I hadn't considered that. It makes me wanna make some more CNs, thanks emoticon

That may well be my favorite picture of myself.

I can understand why, it's lovely and you look so happy.

Our little conversation on the matter has convinced me to do just so, I thank you both emoticon emoticon

FSF...My appologies for rushing my CN search and completely missing/forgetting about "Valerie's Story".

I should never try to do anything in a hurry, and my life has been so busy and hectic lately, that I have only been able to "drop in" here from time to time and leave quick notes. I would much rather take the time and care the subject, and all of my friends here deserve. emoticon
