"emulating" V´s voice...a reality?

I was to post concret results only, but I will share this
now, as I guess it will be possible to "emulate" V´s
voice.

The only thing that will be the challenge will be inputing
V´s entoation and speech, because everything else
will be digitally processed.

take a look:

quote:

The AVOX Antares Vocal Toolkit includes:

    THROAT Physical Modeling Vocal Designer

THROAT is a radical new vocal tool that, for the first time, lets you
process a vocal through a meticulously crafted physical model of the
human vocal tract. THROAT begins by neutralizing the effect of the
original singer's vocal tract and then gives you the ability to specify
the characteristics of the modeled vocal tract.

THROAT's controls allow you modify the voice's glottal waveform as well
as globally stretch, shorten, widen or constrict the modeled vocal
tract. For even more detailed control, THROAT's graphical Throat
Shaping display allows you to individually adjust the position and
width of five points in the vocal tract model, from the vocal cords,
through the throat, mouth and out to the lips. Finally, THROAT's
Breathiness controls let you add variable frequency noise to the model,
resulting in a range of vocal effects from subtle breathiness, to
    raspiness, to a full whisper.

While THROAT has been designed to allow subtle modifications to a
voice's vocal quality, the range of the controls also allows the
creation of vocal tract models well beyond the limits of physical human
anatomy, offering the possibility of vocal characteristics that are
simply unattainable by any other means.

Oh dear. I could be in trouble if that comes to pass. Any man (and I do mean any man) who could pass off a perfect rendition of V's voice could get me into bed as quick as winking. I'd be a lamb to the slaughter emoticon

oh welll, you´re giving me ideias... emoticon

Now, I was tweaking with the tool for some hours
and I did achieve a 60% aproach to V´s voice.

but then deleted, and tryed again, thinking I would do
better.

wrong!. the sucess of the emulation depends on what
he says for ex:, with the tv speech is easyer to get
very surprisingly results, and the quiet lines are much
harder. Origional talk must respect many factors, you
really must speak like him!. Not easy, I tell you!.

And I did considered the voice beeing behind the mask,
so I went to see the movie a bit to catch the timbre.

So, to get good results there is a lot of other effects
that must be aplyed.

But the main thing is to speak as he does, the entoation
is the key factor. I will post some experiences when I
reach the 70% emulation. My mic is a 5 euro one, so I
have bad luck there.

So would that give you merely a simulacrum of Hugo Weaving's "throat?" Imagine the broad range of voices he's able to produce with the physical hardware that nature (and cigarettes) gave him. Even if you could digitally emulate his pitch, tone and timbre, you'd still have to imitate the emotion, cadence, and accent of his speech.

That is the challenge, as I said. You must entoate and
get in to his personality, wich is very very hard.

Everythingh else is not hard, like the cigarretes and the
rest. After many hours I gave up. will try latter.

Somehow, I´m geting better entoation, the key factor.
