Welcome, VV! It's good to see that there are still new people coming on board. Although most of us don't post much any more, we still stop in from time to time.

Hi Dr. D., thanks for the welcome.

I'm certainly enjoying my visit. It is a bit sad, in a way, that I missed all the fun when it was happening. There are numerous V4V-centric communities on the web but only one that's pretty active at this late date. Well, some still have activity, if you want porn ads. emoticon

When the movie came out I went expecting another Matrix or Batman sort of movie, well as you all will appreciate, that is not what it is. I hadn't read the GN and just wasn't prepared for a movie that hit me upside the head and gutted me the way this one did. So, I saw it once and swore...never again...too raw!

Cable tripped me up when it appeared last summer, I'd forgotten the details and only remembered that it was an excellent movie. In fact until I started watching it again I was wondering why in the world I'd never rented it or bought it since seeing it the first time. I soon remembered why, though...unfortunately I wasn't able to resist the 2nd time. I'm like a moth I guess...and there was stupid FX broadcasting it several times a week...sigh...in I went.

So now, here I am, indulging my V4V obsession alone! Which is OK if you look at it from the point of view that now I have him all to myself!! emoticon emoticon

I am sorry I missed being able to become a part of communities like this one, though, I know how wonderful it is to find like minded friends through such forums and how remarkably close and tight a bond you can make. I would have enjoyed getting to know you all and I know I would have had a lot of fun here. As I read through some of the threads I am prompted to post back and then I realize, "oh never mind - no one will read it now, nobody cares anymore!" :)

But then, I am also missing out on all the frustration everyone experienced having to wait impatiently for the DVD and other media, fresh fanfics, etc. I had the abundant body of V-stuff already at hand. (And now mostly digested, she said, piggishly.)

All in all though I wish I'd been paying attention at the time. I should have known V would win in the end! Ha.
