V-icarious moments?
I had reluctantly agreed to attend a 'dinner party' of sorts earlier, then realised my usual arty attire of paint-smock, slippers and fluffy blanket would probably be frowned upon over the aperitifs. After choosing an outfit that was less splattered and more slinky I rooted around for the holy grail of accompaniements, the right shoes. And I found them: new-ish, knee length black leather boots with heels so high you could peer down at the Eiffel Tower.
They had not been worn for a few weeks and my virgoan eyes spotted dust on one of them, so after pulling them on I gave the offending boot a cursory swipe with my hand in a brusque downard movement - then paused to grin in a slightly scary way - I had experienced a genuine V moment at last.
Gone now was the encroaching horror of dinner-party tediom, for in that brief leathery-epiphany I realised I had been magically gifted with all of V's supernal abilities. If the table conversation turned too banal for my liking I could simply slice open the jugulars of all present with my butter knife, and perhaps recite a little Hamlet with dessert.
Cheered by this thought (and by a very cheeky bottle of red) I sneaked off for a sneaky mid-party ciggie and teetered around the kitchen in the perilously high heels declaiming the V speech in rolling oratory tones and flamboyant (if slightly wobbly) gestures. At this point my audience was comprised solely of cats, but I can tell you they were fascinated.
Had any V moments lately?

Re: V-icarious moments?
::grumbles:: I closed down the web browser, promised myself I was going to behave and get some work done... Unfortunately, that work involved the very V moment I've been having all day. Now, it's probably not as profound a moment as Boh experienced, but nonetheless, it's given me an extra emotional lift today...
To set the scene: Today I am wearing black jeans and a cobalt/royal blue, long-sleeved, button-up shirt that's a little too big for me and that I am wearing completely unbuttoned over a black T-shirt. On my feet are deep brown (nearly black) leather boots - only ankle-high, but with 2-inch heels.
So, as I noticed this morning and again just now when I went back to scan something, whenever I walk through the office, I feel and hear my boots thudding or clacking (depending on carpet/tile), and the breeze stirred by my passing causes my blue shirt to drift open. Each time, I am forcibly struck by an image of V walking down the street or through the BTN office - or anywhere else my imagination drops him.
I'm actually wishing it was cold again, so I could really get the effect by wearing my black trenchcoat! (Was once likened to a Hogwarts professor when the coat blew open, cape-like, as I walked down some steps. LOL)
Just wanted to share. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I have to walk to the other side of the building. Oh, no reason...

Re: V-icarious moments?
My TV is being haunted by the English V actors (or at least the cabinet members). I see them like the little spooky kid sees dead people, or at least one every six hours. I've taken medicine with less regularity.
For example,
The chap playing Dominic was in a program about the Theatre in London and then another program about London came on - and all the clever tunnels built under it in Victorian times... (I didn't see V's home being built, will pay more attention next time).
I change channel twice, see 'Dascombe' (twice), then a few hours there's Stephen 'Finch' Rea speaking Gaelic.
Some hours before this while flicking around I stumbled upon a (very sprightly) John Hurt being interviewed, and some hours later a much younger-looking Creedy looking creepy in an old drama.
I'd like to think that, if I lived in Australia instead of Europe, I would have Hugo every six hours.
And on the TV too.

Re: V-icarious moments?
Does this count as a V-icarious Moment?
I was sitting here listening to a classical music station, trying to decide if I was going to work on a section of my story that includes V. And Beethoven's 5th comes on.
