Firstly, nice job FSF for spoting that! After many viewings, I haven't noticed it, and probably wouldn't have noticed in the future. It always surprises me when someone here catches something new and shares. You'd think that after all this time we saw all there is to see. Fortunately (and that is a mega huge fortunately) it is not the case.

I can't help but wonder why he would leave something like that out. It's not in his nature to be untidy. Perhaps the onion played a part in his own breakfast, and he didn't get a chance to clean it up. And then, he made Evey the neutral eggy-in-a-basket, because he wasn't sure whether she liked onions or not.

Personally, I love spring onions in my eggs. They're delicious in omelettes and in scrambled eggs. The more ingredients, the better I say!

emoticon onions and eggs in the morning? I'm not sure I would like that combination, but then again - I haven't tried it yet emoticon

I used to make eggs every morning for breakfast.

Start with half a small onion (or several of those green onions, depending.)

Dice finely.

Saute in butter spiced with a little garlic salt. Keep on heat until onions have clarified and are golden brown.

Add three mushrooms, peeled and finely chopped.

Add more butter.

Saute until golden brown.

Pour on 2 eggs, whisked.

Scramble to taste.

Serve with bacon or toast. Fresh fruit makes a lovely garnish.

FWIW

Are you sure? I mean, he may be a dashing, mysterious revolutionary, but I'm sure he still gets the occasional skidmark. I'll try to find a washed pair, eh? emoticon

kihihi!!! But then again, who's to say that he hasn't chosen a neutral color (brown or black) so as to disguise such unromantic realities?

*is having deja vu for another thread*

Onions. Yes. This was about onions.

Ogres are like onions.

It sounds delicious - but I'm not sure that I would be able to eat it for breakfast emoticon
