Reflection on V's knife I found this today while searching for V4V trailers in the wmv format:
Allegedly it's from a trailer in the highest HD format. You can see that when V throws his knife it shows the reflection of the policeman on the knife That is unless it's a fabrication of course
Re: Reflection on V's knife FSF, I did read that the reflection was shown on the knife, due to CGI. IIRC, it was in the book "From Script to Screen", or perhaps in an interview on the Warner Bros. V4V website. Sooo awesome that you found it!!!

Re: Reflection on V's knife Thanks To clear things up: what I meant by "fabrication" was that perhaps it was something made by a fan - sort of like our manips. But if you've read about it in the book Viv, then it must originate from the HD trailer - very cool detail to think about, Mr. McTeigue

Who cares if it is a fabrication?
YAY!!!!

Re: Reflection on V's knife Yes, I have read that this was put in by CGI too. They did it in another movie, but I can't remember if it was the Matrix or what it was.
I just *happen* to have the book handy--> on page 229 from the "From Script to Film" book:
"That's a total DVD moment, the knife spinning with the face reflected in the blade of the knife. It's in the film; you can't see it in motion, all you see is a blur, but slow it down if you have a DVD player, and you'll see the guy's face in the blade, a premonition of his death milliseconds later."
Or, if you have FSF, you don't have to!

Re: Reflection on V's knife another fabulous Wachowski touch, their preoccupation with reflections.
On a tour of a Renaissance painting exhibit last week, the guide mentioned the fascination of Renaissance painters with mirrors and reflections... evocative of the newfound fascination with science, and seeing through into new worlds. Something Larry & Andy have always been interested in.
