Re: :) tough choice...
Krydiam, I'm confused.
Is what you put here a pirated copy? Are you serious about it [or something else?] being a crime, or am I being dense?
Is it ok by your standards to use? Whatever my misgivings about the movie makers, I feel I ought to pay the freight for a legal copy.
So please explain a little more.

Re: :) tough choice...
ok I´ll explain it. The official DVD was only to be put on
sale on the beginning of August. This was a preview.
Now, consider this: This movie had already two major
pre-releases, the full-screen one, two months ago,
and now this 45 days before officiall release date.
Warner Bros has now shaked hands with Bit-torrent
protocol. the process has begun. (I received
the "updates" automaticly, along with the microsoft
warning about my XP not beeing genuine.
hell of a coincidence...
Now the bit-torrent I´m using can just delete any file
automaticly if it "decides" so on the servers side.
They call it "automatic rule of torrent deletion"
Sure they do. I´m moving client if they touch "my"
software, simple as that. As to microsoft, I like
learning about their detection of non genuine copy
rules. They offer to make it legitim for just $136.
And they say they will only "try to", after you pay.
No good, I buy a copy at the store If I wish so.
this automation is interesting, things are changing.
don´t they alwasys do? :)
back to V´s previews massiv net spread (not by me)
In my view, this was to be a test. It is not possible
that copies of this nature would get out without them
knowing it. Call it a "preview".
The market is changing, there is no way to stop the
file-sharing protocol, so, they migth try to take
advantage of it. Wich is what "they" are doing.
Ok, this is a topic for a very long debate. If you want
I´ll give you some links so that you can see for
yourself what is going on, if you do not know already.
Now, I will buy this movie, inside the box and with all
the extras. So will you and all people here in the board,
I´m pretty sure about that.
Duplicating copyrigthed material is of course a crime,
and it is costing hundreds of billions of dolares to
companies worldwide, they say. Maybe not that much,
im my opinion, but still...
conclusion is sometimes some previews are important.
You can´t have a bussiness open with pirated software.
Only in your home you can do that. And they do give you
the full software to try out. Every companie does.
Reallity is that people start to realise that the real
power to bring big companies down is at a touch of
a botton, it´s just sad that movies and music are the
ones that most seem to suffer. But they aren´t.
That is another long topic, and please, realise this;
I´ve spent thousands of dollars in music workstations
and computers to make music, since child that I love
to do it. Now, if I want to be rich selling Cd´s, these
days, oh well, it is not looking good, that´s for sure.
and people do like my origionals, I just give them
away, and feel good knowing someone likes my work.
So I´m not a conventional "piracy suporter".
But I love seeing millions of terabytes beeing moved like synopses in a brain. It´s beautifull!.
and consider all the devices sold in supermarkets;
DVD and CD recorders, mp3 players, discs to burn,
sold in the supermarket in packets of an hundred each,
costing almost nothing. Consider all the means they
sell us to achieve this ilegallity. This is crazy!!!.
Windows Media player 10 does say "RIP" and "BURN".
Ok, now, I´m very serious about this beeing a crime,
though not a serious one. Note that one can go to
jail and pay thousands of dolares in fines, but that
rarely happens to single users downloading this stuff.
In reality, they are after the ones who sell it, and do
make thousands of copies for that porpose. I hate
it and so do the people who release this things.
We should support the products we like and need
for our bussiness or entertainment. period.
Now, if I do decide to cross the line, don´t worry!
I´m the one that will go to jail and pay the fines.
