oh well, it was worth the wainting! emoticon

It´s hot, sincerely, it really made me think of an
apocalypse, I´m serious. very intense!.

I puted your tube link in the other post, hope you
don´t mind!. also, I´ve riped the clip just in case
they decide to erase it or something. emoticon

as for streaming in media player, it´s possible,
but you tube compresses a lot all of up-loaded
files (as google does) so, encoding it again is
not good for your vid. I tryed it, but better leave
them do the job!.

if you have the source file and want it streamed
in media player just put it in some place and I´ll
go and get it.

enough tech. Again, I liked your vid a lot. And
somehow that cam source mixed wonderfully with
the music. It enhances the lirics, in my perspective.

after seeing some news today, one sure feels some
apocalyptic events happening in the world.

Thank you for the compliments! emoticon
I agree that some of the world appears to be in a truly apocolyptic state - watching the news anymore is increasingly distressing. And of course I don't mind you ripping my video...I'm flattered more than anything else. I'd love to make more, but sadly I don't think there's room enough in my computer's tiny little brain for more than one...any time I try to "create" another one on Movie Maker it says my virtual memory is too low. Alas, hopefully I will have a new computer by the end of the year. Is a mac truly better than a PC for all of our countless artistic whims? That seems to be what I'm hearing - what do you think? emoticon

well, a mac is more expensive, and you will have
a lot more trouble getting software to work with it.

Though I must admit, mac´s are very stable and
are used in such critical tasks like aeronautics,
research and many other areas that just can´t
tolerate the somehow very famous "buggy" pc
environement.

mac´s are also beautifull, slim, and their interface
is just wonderfull and user friendly. It is a pleasure
to handle one, and I like to do it when I see one.

And yes, mac´s where the first to work with digital
art, the first to have a mouse, etc. But today that
is not really an issue, believe me.

If you have a large budget, 0 tolerance for bugs
and can get enough software to work with that
will not cost you an arm and a leg, well, go for
the mac. You woul be very happy with it.

but...

If you just want a computer that will do pretty much
of everything without having to worry for lack of
software, go the for the pc. It´s much more affordable
and with the new Vista operating system it will be
in my opinion very near to the 0 tolerance for
bugs and crashes.

pc´s are getting beautifull too, and very powerfull.
As for the user friendly interface, well, it is not
as beautifull as a mac now, but with Vista it will be.
You will have LOT`S of software, wich is of course
good. Performance on digitall art is also as good
as the mac, these days.

Ok, my opinion? go for the PC. search well before
buying, and if you have a friend that knows how to
buy it by pieces, just do it, price will be even lower
and you will have just what you want.

If you buy it like this, price is very very low and you
won´t have those pre-made pc´s sold in supermarkets.
Sometimes you get lucky, but usually it´s not good.
They are cheap material, and are sold as expensive.

To tell you the truth, I push my pc to the limits, and
it never has crashed like it used to do with the 98 OS.
XP does a pretty good job, it does not close tasks
or freezes like before, it just warns you to save
work and reboot before something does go wrong.

and with the new Vista OS, it will be even better.

On a final note, it´s nice you´ve pushed your machine
to the limit to make this vid. That´s the way to go!.

Thank you for your help. I'm by no means computer illiterate, but I'm not nearly as savvy as I should be. Armed with your info, I can at least know what I'm looking for. I inherited the computer I'm on, and have never had to buy one...so I appreciate the advice. emoticon emoticon

Hello, friendlysolaire, finally, a solution! emoticon

what you will see inside the media player window is
the board, no re-directions, and no outside links!.

I said wmx files could do more than stream. well,
they can transform media player to serve sites
inside it. They can even do more, but, for now,
I guess you´ll have a picture of it. I used this CN
of yours as an example, because it has the cry me
a river music has a background. Just feel the effect!

Now, once the Media player serves as a kind of
browser, it can include a litlle section where we can
put banners, links, anything, but with a very cool
feature...it can have the links for the small samples
playing with javascript, something that runboard does
not allow directly.

so, we have the real time runboard runing inside
media player, with any music background music
playing, AND...a small rectangule (generally used for
publicity) that has the clickable samples, but this time,
they will execute javascript, and that allows the sample
to play in background, along with the music.!

ok, for now I give you only the CN, and the background
cry me a river. (I´m working on those sample links)

CN test- I didn´t think you would come

You see, your sig says this is better viewed while
earing V´s soudtrack...well, here you have it!.
the all CD can be streamed, with a pre-chosen
order, with loop, etc. After all, you´re browsing
INSIDE a media player, lol.

note- you can clik your sample links, no problem!,
everything keeeps working fine. Indeed, the effect
of doing it is VERY nice!.

kry, I just want to check... We're now nine days from the DVD release... You are going to plug the stream when the legal copy is available, yes?

Yes, It will be off-line on the 28 th. It was always
intended to be like that, both by principle and
suspense.

What use is a preview with much less of all, (quality,
menus, etc) when we all have the thing in the box,
ready to seat in the couch and finally having fresh
content to debate?

Anyway, Butmad, thank you very much for your
understanding in this situation.

Now it´s time to get it to a new level of events.

again, thank you. You were the best, sincerily!.emoticon
