Re: V's roof-slide? Ooh - thanks for the link LadyV The cap program I had was a shareware one, which meant that every time I used it there was a bloody great watermark across each one. (Which is why I was so chuffed I could print screen with Quicktime - but quicktime files don't usually save to your computer, so each time you watch them you're clocking up the download - and I have a tight monthly limit!)
I'm rambling.
Suffice to say, thank you.
Re: V's roof-slide? LadyV,
I so cannot figure out how to take captures with the VLC program you were kind enough to link to. (Doesn't help that it's stuck half in Portuguese as well as English, damn the overriding controls by country!)
I also found it took a few seconds to pause after I hit pause, which would mean it could be tricky to get the exact shot - have I perhaps downloaded a buggy one or is yours the same?
I just wanted to take some nice caps and it's all going wormy!
It takes time to get used to it. I used to have Windows and VLC I thought worked much better on that system. It took me awhile to figure out how to take caps too. It is tricky to take caps on it, and can be at times, but it's a nice alternative to something you have to pay for.
Sorry about the problems. Glad it's working out and still hoping it's working out for you.
