ACT V, scene i

WARNING: This has mild adult content. I haven't altered the timeline, but I AM a Paranormal Romance writer, so from the moment I saw V4V, my fevered brain began to churn.

All Shakespeare quotes are annotated, with the name of the V4V character in parentheses so you know who's quoting what.

This is also why you should never give me access to The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Online or
The Complete Sonnets of William Shakespeare Online , especially if I'm bored in a hotel room and have several weeks of late nights to plan.

(Thanks to Leda not only for giving me the most delightful literary inferiority complex I’ve ever had, but for the words of encouragement and the hospitality, which is bar none, fit for a Bard.)

And now, the Viction:

*wriggles ecstatically!!!*

Thanks for the absolutely lovely TEMPEST quote and the even more lovely words off-list. LOVE YOU TO PIECES!!!!!

(And if I hadn't given myself the limitation of only using quotes from Acts V of the various Shakespeare plays, my task would've been a bit easier, though it would've taken me ages to get through all 37 plays, start to finish. I can skim Elizabethan, but not always well.)

THANK YOU!!!! I'm so glad to see you here, love. I was hoping you'd show.

My personal favorite line in V's voice is the DUKE VINCENTIO line from MEASURE FOR MEASURE. Though it's not as romantic as the other quotes, I thought it really summed up V's basic attitude toward modern politics. I was the one that really SOUNDED like him in my head.

And the TIMON OF ATHENS was a heavenly find for the end. I lucked out on that one.

Thank you MK for this wonderful gift.

Part of my V awakeing has been to recover my love of language. V's velvet-voiced tasty shakespeare quotes whetted my appetite for more, and now I find it's blossoming into a whole new language of eloquence.

I doff my feathered chapeau to you, authoress most divine. may your silver pen never run dry!

You're so sweet. *HUG!!!*

*nodnodnodnodnod!!!* For me too. It was like stretching a formerly-toned muscle that'd atrophed as a result of lack of use. As soon as I heard V's introductory monologue, it was like my whole body and mind and spirit came to life as one blazing creature, awakened and hungry for more.

YAY!!!!! That's the whole idea.
