Words fail me at the moment. That was so amazing. emoticon What perfect visualization! I loved it!! On my first read I balled my eye out!! On the second read, still some tears but not to the extent of the first but I got the story more and it touched me way more. Extraordinary! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

quote:

Commend me to them,

And tell them that, to ease them of their griefs,

Their fears of hostile strokes, their aches, losses,

Their pangs of love, with other incident throes

That nature's fragile vessel doth sustain

In life's uncertain voyage, I will some kindness do them

And it is not an idea that I miss, it is a man... A man that made me remember the Fifth of November. A man that I will never forget.

And I love your verbiage to peices, and am pining for more!

*is late in squoobling Ven for this*

SQUOOOOOOOOOOBLE!!!

And pass that on to Leda for me when you see her, would you? (*is jealous, but in a good way*)

any new fanfic in the works?

Honestly, I haven't had any other brilliant ideas for where to put stuff. Leda and others pretty well have the whole backstory sewn up (though I have my own ideas and opinions). I didn't want to do the whole "V comes back from the dead" thing - unless it were humorous, which might cause people to hurt me.

Suggestions are welcome.

or other goodies? perhaps you have some short fic on other theme's you'd like to share?

I shall consider it.

And in the meantime, I'll be flattered you asked.

and your beta reader here is hoping for another fix, soon emoticon

I'm really glad you enjoyed that bit, love. Here's hoping for happy news from the editor and agent.

*nods and offers a conciliatory hug* On WRITING it, I balled my eyes out, but I couldn't bring myself to alter the timeline. The pognancy of the romance is too sweet, just as it is.

And to wring your heart a little more, that line is from Timon of TIMON OF ATHENS (don't worry, before I did the research for this story, I'd never heard of it either). Timon has gone off in seclusion after doing some nasty things (don't ask me for specifics, I'd have to look them up). Two senators have come to him asking him to return to Athens and straighten out the mess brewing there. He gives this speech to molify them, then commits suicide as a means of making sure justice is served.

I couldn't believe my incredible good fortune in finding that quote, because to me it summed up V in a nutshell; he is all too aware of the evil that is in the world, and is willing to sacrifice himself to bring a better world into existence.

But that's part of why I love him so much.

Anyway. Thanks for commenting, m'dear. I really appreciate it.
