*blushes at the positive comments from her collaborator*
Back atcha, babe!
quote: The back and forth section between Simba and Zazu that includes shot after shot of V's speech is pure ButMad. I had no clue what to do there.
I like that bit, especially the consistency of color with V. If we'd done something different each time, I think it would have been too distracting.

Yeah, I'm not sure where that came from...

And domino, you've been added to the group.
Hey, Mel - Whaddya think of "Mad Kitty Productions"? (Inspried by a comment I made on Vexing Visages about Mad-Kitty costuming.)

You evil geniuses! ButMad, I dont know how to do this, but methinks that getting the exquisite timing of, say, baton smashing or V's head-turning etc cant be that easy. Masterful, and fffuuunnnnnnnyyy!
*dances*
Actually, the baton-smack was one of the images that inspired this. I knew I wanted that and the coup de grace at the end. The song is so RHYTHMIC that it lends itself well to this kind of sharply-cut video.

YAY!!!!!!!
quote: "Mad Kitty Productions" that's it! can I do your logo?
SURE!!!!
I can see our motto now: "Will Video For Karma".
Or not.
Anyway, you're welcome to play, Ven.
And I now know EXACTLY which pic I want as an avatar. ButMad has it in her portfolio that will go up on the Your Inner Vixen/Vindicator thread once she has a chance.
ButMad made me look tall and slender. Life is good.
And well-tailored suits are even better.
And so is belly-dancing, which enables one to fit them better.

Re: "God Save the King"
I am looking forward to THIS video:
quote: And so is belly-dancing, which enables one to fit them better.
Now that I have been able to download and view GSTK properly at the internet cafe, I must commend the team at MadKitty Productions for their amazing feat.
It is gruesomely hilarious, and you're right, you ARE going to hell, splendidly! along with all the rest of us who smile with glee when V eviscerates the young cop, or nails another one with a dagger to the forehead!
the opening, using the footsteps, and then setting up the silliness of the song along with the ominous V4V footage is the first clue you are in for a treat of succulent cognitive dissonance.
the "hair" moment is like a fine wine, with a sparkeler in it!!!
that first WAIT! is more shocking, I-cant-believe-I-am- -to -this moment.
V: "Now say it...(the "thats it" moment)perfection!
"little hornbills", "monarchy is headed", and "count me out"
look left, right:
"not yet!"
the crowd/chorus is fabulous
and... that FINAL CRUNCH! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
DAMN, WE ARE LUCKY VIXENS!!!

I LIKE IT!!!!!
Goody! That's going in the credits next time:
Mad Kitty Productions Presents:
quote: I think the country-western one definitely needs to be next.
*nods* Start making notes.
But I really want to finish the Vth. It's bad enough I got distracted by "V Our Guest." But I was hoping that if I worked on that one, it would shake something loose on the other. Besides, inspiration struck. Sick, bad, horrible inspiration, but inspiration nonetheless.
quote: Sidebar: ButMad and Da Kittty as roommates HAS to be one of the signs of the apocalypse.
*pokes boss* Can I move yet? ... How 'bout now? ... Okay, fine, then. I'll look for a new job after the holidays (which are stressful enough without job-hunting).
Seriously, since you'll have room for me in February, if the bosses don't get off their butts soon, I'm making new plans. Their loss.
quote: *is looking forward to the move*
Me too. Get me out of this freakin' desert!!
quote: Venturous wrote:

*bows with a flourish* It's not. It helps that I've learned a few tricks through trial and error.
quote: a blue ribbon for the team!
*buffs ribbon and pins it to Mel's chest* You can wear it today.
quote: "Mad Kitty Productions" that's it! can I do your logo?
Please! If you do, I'll insert it into the credits on future vids and give you due credit. If it helps at all to know this, I use the Papyrus font on the credits and plan to keep using it.
My initial thought when I saw your logo question was a kitty wearing a V mask. .... *has to stop and over one of the more sadistic moments of the past weekend* .... But maybe leave V out of it, just in case we move into non-V videos...?
quote: MelindaKitty wrote:

I say not, 'cuz no one outside the board will get that.
quote: ButMad has it in her portfolio that will go up on the Your Inner Vixen/Vindicator thread once she has a chance.
Speaking of, I was planning to pretty much throw all the costuming fun into Inner Vixen and not talk about much on Unfortunate Events except the detectives. 'Cuz once we got past that, the weekend was much better, anyway.
And somebody karma Da Kitty for driving two and a half scary hours to come to my office Christmas party, even though she figured it would be lame (which it was)!!
quote: ButMad made me look tall and slender. Life is good.
I did that? Really? Cool.

Well, we don't have a video of that, but we do have some videos of me playing with props.
quote: Now that I have been able to download and view GSTK
*can't understand acronym*
*finally gets it*
*feeling her hair color*
quote: properly at the internet cafe, I must commend the team at Mad Kitty Productions for their amazing feat.
quote: you're right, you ARE going to hell, splendidly!
Wait till you see the solo vid I've spent the last two nights working on. Mel and I are both going to hell, but I've got a seat reserved on the express train.
I sent it to her this morning and she sent back some notes, so I need to do a little tweaking. Hopefully it'll be up tomorrow, but I also have to go to the pet store.
quote: along with all the rest of us who smile with glee when V eviscerates the young cop, or nails another one with a dagger to the forehead!
Like I said, we'll be in good company!!
quote: the ominous V4V footage
We got to the point that every time we saw Dominic kick in Evey's door, we started laughing. "There are so many doors!" Da Kitty screeched at one point.
quote: V: "Now say it...(the "thats it" moment)perfection!
I'm going to correct your quote, just because I had trouble understanding what you meant at first. The line is "Now, see here!" And I agree - that's one of my favorites.
quote: "little hornbills"
I think that was my idea - Mel was having trouble thinking of something for that, and I suggested using one or two other members of the Head...
quote: "monarchy is headed", and "count me out"
Most of the rest is Mel, including those two moments.
quote: look left, right:
I couldn't believe how perfect that was! Part of me still wants to put the instrumental riff back in, though. The cut in the music is barely noticeable, but the in me....
quote: and... that FINAL CRUNCH! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I adore that whole sequence - Creedy looks up on "wait," V looks up on "king," Creedy's feet beat the rhythm on the gate, V tilts his head on one note, the neck snaps on the next note....
*high-fives Mel*
quote: DAMN, WE ARE LUCKY VIXENS!!!
No, WE are - to have such an appreciative audience!

Re: "God Save the King"
quote: MelindaKitty wrote:
And as for the MadKitty Produtions logo, I had a minor brainstorm. Tell me if this is stupid:
Curled up cat. Arches into full hiss. Slashes screen. Slashes become the edges of a length of film.
(Keep in mind I say this having ZERO 2-dimentional artistic skills and knowing that the animation could be difficult and annoying. Is just an idea.)
*on parents' dialup* I had to come online tonight to take advantage of a deal on Amazon.
It's an interesting idea, except that the "Mad" coming from my name makes it crazy-mad, and your cat sounds like it's angry-mad...
However, I did just think of a way to do that logo without it being animated. Cat with paw extended, claws out, mid-scratch. The scratch marks behind the paw morph into a film strip before the paw. Does that make sense?
But again, I personally don't want an angry kitty....
