And as for the MadKitty Produtions logo, I had a minor brainstorm. Tell me if this is stupid:

Curled up cat. Arches into full hiss. Slashes screen. Slashes become the edges of a length of film.

(Keep in mind I say this having ZERO 2-dimentional artistic skills and knowing that the animation could be difficult and annoying. Is just an idea.)

I can see it! a good challenge - one I cant get to until after xmas frenzy, but it will push me to hone animation skills - I have them, they are just really rusty.

reooow! sssss! **scratch**

It's an interesting idea, except that the "Mad" coming from my name makes it crazy-mad, and your cat sounds like it's angry-mad...

However, I did just think of a way to do that logo without it being animated. Cat with paw extended, claws out, mid-scratch. The scratch marks behind the paw morph into a film strip before the paw. Does that make sense?

But again, I personally don't want an angry kitty....

New concept:

Cat contemplating skull in one paw (a la "Alas, poor Yorrick. I knew him, Horatio.") Reaches up. Paws screen. Claw marks become film.

Better?

Funny, Leda. emoticon

Got anything closer to "kitty crazies" (mad = insane)?

 emoticon

Oh, Meeeelllll.... Picture if you will:

A sleeping cat suddenly awakens, wide-eyed, tail poofed. He looks back and forth, then takes off! zooming in and out of the logo. Finally comes back to center, still wild-eyed, and swipes at nothing (at the viewer) - scratches become film, yadda yadda.

How's that for a compromise? emoticon

No.

Out of respect for ButMad, I'd have to say no, but that is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

I love you, Leda. You're one of the very few people in the world who's sicker than I.

I think we have a winner.

Stick a fork in it, it's done.

Houston, we no longer have a problem.

Re: "God Save the King"

thank god my cat cant get her paws on something like that!!!

Are you ready for the worst bad-kitty story you may have ever heard? (damn, if only I had video....)

My house mate, L came home after errands and really needed to pee, urgently. She ran to the bathroom, all the way in the furthest corner of the house, and shucks off her jeans and prepares to sit when.....

>SPLASH!< the cat, wild-ass swamp kitty that she is, leapt INTO the toilet bowl.

seriously.( L doesnt make stuff like that up,and although she is a bit crazy, she isnt THAT delusional.)

"I wish I'd been there..." says Prothero, and for once I agree with him.

So, in the resulting flurry ("Cameras! We need cameras!!!") L somehow scoops up the not-svelte kitty, flings her out of the toidy, and while peeing on her shoes manages to slam dunk her in the wastebasket.

**takes a moment to visualize this in all its damp detail**

Related story - and why I keep the lid down all the time...

This has happened not once, but twice, starting with Chaucer bolting into the bathroom in full zoomies mode and trying to jump onto the toilet and from there onto the toilet tank.

Unfortunately, on the two occasions I'm remembering, he fell into the toilet water - because the lid was up - because I'd just used the toilet - and hadn't flushed yet. emoticon

I don't think he's gotten worse than a damp butt, but both times I quickly scooped him up, threw him into the tub, and held him down while rinsing him off.

It's a good thing he's pretty. emoticon 'Cuz he ain't too bright sometimes.

And on a related note, look what I found in my Inbox today:
