if so, im gonna be so severely depressed >_>() it was bad enough when Sirius and Dumbledore were offed *still in denial that nobody can "come back," even if JKR says so* but yeesh... this last installment is gonna make me freak out, no matter who dies. well, unless its ol' moldywart or his DEs. then itll be a party XD eh, yeah

*pokes* you MUST read HBP, ButMad. boatloads of important stuff happened. probably far more than we can even guess, given JKR's talent for weaving the tiniest details into major plotlines later on ^_^() but ooh, im so gonna have a heart attack waiting for this!

I have it - I've preordered every book since GoF (I didn't read CoS and PoA until right before it came out; can't remember when I first read SS) and received them on the day of release. I just haven't found the time to read it, yet.

I hate spoilers. I accidentally learned about Sirius's death before I'd gotten to that part of OotP, and learning such a depressing bit of news beforehand killed my enthusiasm for reading that book - I got derailed halfway through it and didn't pick it up again for months, at which point I started over at the beginning.
That said, I will of course pre-order HP7 even if I don't get to HBP before its release, because that's the kind of fan I am. 
I'm in the middle of Jennifer Government right now. Maybe when I finish that, I'll get to HBP... I'm a lot slower reader than I used to be, and Life gets in the way, and there's not enough time for everything, and it makes me very sad.
